Worth riding, but a bit rough, and the first drop should be taller/steeper.
Not as rough as Wild Beast but still too rough. I don'.t mind being tossed around but pain is unacceptable to me. After reading older reviews I get a feeling this ride has declined over time.
As Ive said before, I like a good, rough ride in the sense that its aggressive and intended to have an edge. An out and back coaster like this definitely shouldnt be rough. Still, this definitely was right up there with Vortex for the parks best coaster (well, while I was there in 2000 since Behemoth probably blows these two away). The first drop actually was pretty good and a majority of the hills provided decent air. However, a majority of those very hills were also quite bumpy as well. Hey, the ride is bearable though and because of the air it provides, it actually is a pretty good coaster worth riding.
I was really disappointed by this coaster. I liked how it worked around the water park, but the ride was quite bumpy in spots and a bit rough. The first drop was good however and a few hills did provide some air, but a majority of the hills unfortunately didnt.
I enjoyed this ride, but would have liked to ride it before it was changed for the water park. APPEARANCE-7 Looks nice but not amazing and not a great location within the park. CAPACITY-7 We got there before much of a line, but they didnt seem in any hurry. RIDE QUALITY-7 Almost a really fun ride but a couple spots of almost air, and a couple spots that were bumpy that didnt need to be keep it in the average section. FUN-8 A solid woodie always equals good fun. Great company makes it even better. RERIDE-8 If I ever get back there this will definately be one of the rides I do again. OVERALL-37 AVG-7.4 I will go the 7, but in this park that is pretty high.
Changes to the track have made this ride less thrilling. It is very rough. Expected a few bruises from this ride.
I thought that this ride is just a bit above average. The layout was deceiving in that it looked like there would be tons of airtime, but there was not. The ride is long and pretty relaxing, but it is still the best wooden coaster at this park.
This is my Second favorite Woodie Ive ever been on. The first drop is insane! Plus it isnt as rough as I remember. Although the ride is very fun its fairly short... because of its layout. The first drop is 87 feet tall..then there are a few camel humps and then a fairly large hill with an un banked u turn. Then you turn to the right slightly and and go over some more bunny hills and then the helix which was sweet! The tin tunnel that they put over top was great too! It provided an out of control feeling. And another bonus was going under the water slides. Very exciting. But my last experiences on it havent been as thrilling. But every time you ride a woodie its always a different experience.
This is one of my favourite coasters in the park! I love wooden coasters (mainly because they dont go upside down) and this is definitely a great one. The first drop is awesome, and the out-and-back style is cool. It isnt rough, not like Wild Beast. The speed is great and the helix and tunnel were good too. Going around the waterslides was nice. Everything is a plus in my books. I give it a 10.
An average out and back wooden coaster. The ride features a long layout through the waterpark which is kinda neat, but can also get rough in spots. The airtime is good, but since its an out and back it really needed to be more centered on the airtime. A bug plus, however, was the helix at the end, which was awesome and to add on top of that, they threw a tunnel on it which was very cool. With all things aligned, the Minebuster will get a 7.
