Great effects. I was NOT expecting this to be a launched ride!

All I can do is review what I rode, and that was a very early morning ride whilst none of the effects were working. I have ridden this several times at KD, and in comparison with my first ride on KD&#39.s Turbo Coaster (at night, with fire, other effects, music, all sorts of surprise turns I had no idea would come), this was an epic failure. Someone on my trip called the stop before the tunnel a &quot.moment of silence.&quot. Despite the fact that I do like the ride, and pretty much every thing Premier has came out with, this lacked. It&#39.s sad to see what Cedar Fair &quot.allows&quot. this to run as. If it is going to run this watered-down, why run it at all? I heard that an hour later, most of the effects were back working, but again, I can only review what I rode. A good ride with an intense helix, all sorts of weird little turns, and &quot.cute&quot. drops. Dick and Cedar Fair get a big thumbs down for the &quot.retheme&quot. of this former Paramount attraction.

This was the best Italian Job coaster Ive been on of the three. The launch wasnt that sudden and it was pretty weak, but the upward helix was surprisingly intense. I liked the cop scene and the following bunny hills provided a little air time, but it good have been better because the ride was slow at the top of the helix and the hills. The helicopter scene and finale were nice, but lacking air.

My second on my quest to get all three stunt jobs in one summer. APPEARANCE-8 I like the look of the ride and the way it gives the whole area a theme. CAPACITY-7 It seems like it should be better, but they just dont move that quickly. RIDE QUALITY-9 I find it to be done really well. The track is pretty smooth, has small pops of air and the helix felt really intense on this version. FUN-8 It is just good family fun, but I wish all the stunts worked. RERIDE-6 Maybe when I am back at CW, but not so great I would guarantee a reride. Course when a park has this many weak coasters, this one looks pretty good. OVERALL-40 AVG-8.0 Seems like the right score for a ride I enjoy.

Ok, while waiting in line, the coaster broke-up TWO times and the line was LONG, this is a bad start, next The acceleration at the begining is nice and yes, I had fun in this ride but I wasnt intense at all and definitly not worth the wait. Also I mustve been out of luck because a lot of the special effects werent working. Do it if the wait is not too long, otherwise do something else.

This ride is an excellent effort at theming, but the ride quality comes up short, like many Hollywood movies it is all glitz and little substance. I have also ridden the other 2 versions at PKI and PKD. This version and the PKI version are run slower than the PKD version. When run at a faster speed this coaster is much better. At slower speeds the coaster elements pack no punch, whatsoever.

This coaster is great! I think some people think it was made as a dark ride like the Mummy at Universal. This ride was mainly marketed as a highly themed stunt coaster. Although yes the special Effects don&#39.t work most of the time but to me I rarely notice them at all. The theming of the ride goood. The fire .the helicopter ,the mini coopers, the billboards, the launch, the cargo containers and the cop cars all make this ride great! The layout is great too. The cars launch at 65kmh an hour which gives a decent thrill. Then you go into the massive helix which was good, the highlight...the parking garage around you was pretty cool too. Then at the top theres no airtime. Then you drop 20 feet or so and down into the Cop Car scene where( at night time) cop car lights and sirens are flashing all around you. Then theres an over banked curve and then the stairs scene which dips down about 10 feet and then theres a slight curve. then you go up and into the helicopter scene. This is great at night! Not so great in the day time.Kind of mediocre but still...theres a helicopter shooting at you and barrels exploding and everything. Theres even some water jets too! Then you get launched down into a dark tunnel where you twist and turn in complete blackness. Then you burst out and under the lines up then twist into the loading station. The ride was good The theming was good and the thrills were kinda good..... 7 in my books.

I thought this ride was great. Maybe its just because it was the second roller coaster Id ever been on and I was just starting to get used to the idea, I dunno.

Ive only been going on roller coasters for one summer now, so I still dont go on coasters that go upside down. But Ive been on every other coaster in PCW that does not go upside down, and Ive been back on Italian Job twice more since that first time, and I still think its tied with Minebuster for the best ride in the park.

All of the effects were working for me two of the three times.. and the only one that wasnt the third time was the helicopter/fire thing at the top, but thats because it was raining so its understandable. The effects were great and made the roller coaster even better so I give it a 10.

Mediocre at best. (Possible Spoilers included)The main reason I trekked up to Canadas Wonderland was to ride their newest coaster, in addition to experiencing what was supposed to be one of the best flat ride collections around. Well, I came away dissapointed big time regarding the Italian Job.First off, the appearence looks pretty good. I especially liked the three-MINI trains with the hinged doors and all. At PCW, the ride is fairly hidden from the rest of the park, especially the majority of the coasters layout except from the lift of the Minebuster. That helps out, and the immense themeing helps to hide it as well. It had only been a few weeks and already the queue was covered in graffiti. Since it is the new kid on the block, I had to wait a little more than an hour to ride, and the line spilled out of the queue a bit at times during the day, and this wasnt even what I would have thought to have been peak hours. I also encountered a lot of malfunctions that day: the air gates in the queue werent working, so they had to alter loading procedure; the headlights didnt work, which came into play in the tunnel scene (it would have made it cooler); the speakers didnt work. In the end, there were a lot of missing elements that hurt my chances of a great ride, but I tried to look past that. The actual ride is where so many of the points are lost. The launch is ok, fairly tame much like the Mummy (which will inevitably draw comparisons to the Italian Job, I liked the Mummy better) but flat and not nearly as forceful. The upward-spiraling helix was good for a while. The first half of it was fairly tight, intense and disorienting, but it really slowed down and barely crawled over the bunny hop at the top -- and that was with a full train, rollbacks may be possible if it was empty! That really stunk, because if the speed was greater a nice pop of air would have fit well, but alas the hill was a dud. After plunging back towards the ground, the train hit another small hill which did give a nice jolt of negative Gs, but nothing to make the ride stellar. The cops scene was so so, just a few smooth twists in the track, followed by a highly banked turn around, but still nothing spectacular. The helicopter scene was neat, approaching Universal quality, but again, not great. The tunnel portion was ok, but without lighting, something tells me we missed a lot. The ending was picturesque, and the ride finished weakly. The water splash was dull as was that last dip-n-turn. As the train hit the brakes, I couldnt help but be disappointed. In the end, the Italian Job Stunt Track was an ok coaster, but not anywhere near being great. This ride really made me appreciate the Mummys themeing and unique (and working) elements. The IJ:ST is a good fit for Paramount (it was obviosuly popular and well-marketed) but not my type. The ride is lackluster, with the absensce of airtime being unimaginable with those Premier restraints, but its sadly true. Even if everything worked for me, I would only give it a 5 or 6.Thanks for tuning in guys, Ill be back and write more reviews and some TRs, but for now I just saw the ride was open for reviews and that nobody had reviewed it so I wanted to share some comments: Have fun yall
