A very good Anton. Not that Im a fan or anything, but I would have been disappointed if I missed this like I almost did. The ride is pretty good, though that slow lift was humerous at best. The first dive, one of those steep, twisting Schwarzkopf plummets was awesome, and the vertical loops were typical as well -- not that typical isnt a bad thing, becuase in this case its a good thing! Then you get to the helices, both of which pulls some mind-numbing Gs. No blackouts for me, but I can see where it would cause people to feel feint. The coaster is short, but it packs a punch unlike many short rides. The one thing missing from it was airtime, but there were no true airtime hills since it is such a compact little devil. I can forgive it for that, after all, the lap bars still are great through inversions even if they arent manipulated for airtime. Laser was a fun little ride, and worthy of an 8, but some final comments should include that it was a very attractive machine and we were lucky enough to give Hercules his first front-row ride ever. Hope ya liked it buddy
One last thing: they make you bring your belongings on board with you, even if its three pillows, a camera bag, another souvenir bag and a purse. Dont ask me why (or the ride operator for that matter) but that is their policy. Sounds like some crazy Cedar Fair stuff to me. I mean, its not like they have multi-train operation or anything
I really kinda liked this ride. The lift hill was long, and the ride time very short, but the loops were intense, and you were really blazing on that turn. Not worth a long wait, but a pretty good ride.
Very intense Shwarzkopf looper with a few problems. First, the lift hill took almost forever to get up to. Second, the rides too short to enjoy to its fullest. Also, you couldnt choose your own seats, so there werent a lot of chances to get the front or back seat. Finally, I barely fit into the ride & my dad couldnt ride with me. Besides that, the speeds good & the consecutive loops were very intense. Ride it to see what yall think, but I wasnt that impressed with the ride at all. Not better than SuperDooperLooper at Hersheypark.
Im not really too fond of this ride. I have heard people say that this is Schwartkopfs best work, but I dont buy it. It is the worst coaster in the park. There are some parts that I enjoy, but Im not that big of a fan. I hate how you cant pick your own seat. I dont think I have ever been in the front. And if you ask, the attendent gets mad and says that you have to go where they tell you. If you sit somewhere other than where they tell you, they get mad. I do like going upsidedown with just a lapbar. That is cool. The lift hill is so unbelievable slow. It takes longer to get to the top, than the entire duration of the ride. The first drop is pretty cool. Then after that, nothing great. The ride does get really super intense though. Those turns are crazy. There are people that say that they have actually blacked out on this, but I have not experienced that. This was actually my first looping coaster. I was 7. I was so scared that I cried all the way up the lift hill. However, nothing to be scared of here, especially since I went on it again right after that. Im not really too fond of the wood blocks that this right is set on, or the fact that water is used as a weight. Yet, Im not a ride designer or engineer or anything. When going to the exit, once again, the walk to it is like the lift hill--longer than the actual ride. Overall, this ride is short and intense. The drop into the double loop is fun. The twists and turns pack a mega punch. But, this ride is nothing great, but in turn, it is nothing really too bad either. UPDATE: I have a new found love for this ride. Rating changed from 7 to 8.
Fun, intense looper thanks to very circular loops and fast helixes. I love going upside down with just a lap bar!!
Laser is a fast ride that has great loops. The front seat is the best because of air and the view. Its a good ride considering the age of it and type that it is.In three years I think it needs a replacement coaster.
Once again, the genus of Anton Schwartkopf. The loops are very forceful. Probably one of the smallest stations.
the loops are amazing. the ride completely throws you all over, and i like it!! i love the ending when u r thrown on ur side in the final helix!!
Not bad at all, but not all that wonderful. The loops are amazing, but the ride is incredibly short. It is definitely worth going on if you are Dorney, but it is no where near as great as Steel Force or Talon.
A signature Schwarzkopf complete with a cornacopia of intense, but withstandable, G forces. The loops are very cool bu the lift hill is agonizingly slow and the ride is over relatively quickly. Still, a very fun ride and worth a spin anytime your at Dorney Park.
