As most did, when I was a child I was so scared because of the premise. The preshow confirmed my reasoning, but the ride itself is great. The theming and thought that has been put into this attraction is Superior to any other.

The main reason I never really go on haunted attractions these days is because they all think that you have to be traumatized on it. They rely on dead body's popping out of torture chambers and bouncing around in electric chairs. Don't get me wrong, I love getting creeped out, but not to the point when the ride becomes unenjoyable and you just wanna get off. This ride, however, using omnimover technology, glowing animatronics with full movement, and a gothic atmosphere, creates the perfect traditional ghost train attraction. First off, the reason it is a lot better is because instead of relying on zombies and little girl ghosts popping out, it relies on the mansion itself. It has a dark, eerie and goosebump-growing tone with a quiet, but creepy soundtrack. It is scary, of course, but it's not like most haunted houses where you want to get off. Here, you just never want to get off. Now you could say the ride does have a scary graveyard scene in the finale, with the main song blazing through speakers and ghosts popping from behind tombstones. This is true, but here's the thing: The ghosts aren't creepy, they just have freaky, and quite honestly, goofy faces. Add that up with 3 ghosts at the end and a stretching elevator and you have of Disney's greatest attractions..... Just add the Hatbox Ghost and it will be perfected.

I just enjoyed the detail and scenery. There really is no story behind it. The only "scary" part is the begining before you get on the train when the walls stretch defiently not an enjoyable part for anbody whos clastraphobic. All in all its a great Disney Classic

Best ride at the park. Also better than Disneyland's in comparison. The graveyard scene had better projections and effects; I even jumped when a ghost popped out from behind a grave. The whole bride thing doesn't really fit though, it tries to fit in an extra storyline and just leaves you confused.

Like this ride very much but one criticism - when you come out of the expanding room, there is a scrum before you go on the ride. This is done much better in the Paris version where the queue starts earlier. However - very good ride and queue does go down quickly.

Its hard to imagine a haunted attraction that puts forth little to no effort into trying to frighten you. So It's even harder to imagine that such an attraction would be good. Thats until encountering Disney's Haunted Mansion. Instead of jump out at you scares, the mansion relies more on setting and atmosphere. It is just creepy enough to make a realistic haunted house but lighthearted enough that everyone can enjoy it. And that is no easy task. Through state of the art holograms and effects, the haunted mansion is an attraction that will leave you wondering "how did thy do that?" The Haunted Mansion was truly way ahead of its time. But whats remarkable is that after all these years, it is still way ahead of its time and will continue to set the bar for other haunted houses well into the future.

One of my favorites if not my favorite attraction at Disney, this ride is a masterpiece in dark ride design and it is nice and long as well. The exterior of the mansion sets the perfect tone and new effects have been added over the years to the outdated portions.

Very well-done effects and a wryly amusing ride. Children may be frightened as much of the ride is in the dark as well as by the anticipation and the seemingly intimidating nature of the ride, but it's really all light fun. The preshow stretch rooms are absolutely hilarious. This ride is just great.

The Haunted Mansion is an amazing attraction, whether you are 9 or 90! Disney's classic ride takes you into a creepy experience where you sit in a dune-buggie and travel through the haunted mansion, with ghosts lurking around every corner! The atmosphere is very detailed and the ride is fun, too! Watch closely as the attraction gears towards the end, as you'll see yourself in ghost-form! The lines are extremely short, and the ride is long, very long! Check this one out, you won't regret it!
