Disneyland's is MUCH longer. They skip a few scenes here, like the cursed gold room, the drinking skeletons, etc. A tad disappointing, but still worth riding.
My personal favorite ride anywhere. Now keep in mind, I haven't ridden the version at Disneyland. Most everyone I come across says that version is superior. Well all I can say is that the version in Disneyland must be something really special. In my mind this is THE dark ride that all other dark rides should aspire to be. Now granted some other rides have surpassed this attraction in technology. But Pirates of the Caribbean is done with such care and detail. From the scenes of the pirates interacting to the ceiling. If you look up you notice that it looks as if your really looking up into the nighttime sky rather than a roof. All of this is done with such precision and care that I almost forget i'm on ride and that whats going on is really happening. And thats the mark of a truly great dark ride. It provides a temporary escape from the outside world. Great ride! Truly great!
A well-done ride with pretty good effects, although the fire effect is probably the least convincing. Young boys should certainly enjoy this ride, although young girls may be bored or disinterested with the theme or frightened. Adults can have a good time on the ride as well. Very good.
Not as good because the Johnny Depp additions to the attraction. It was better the old way.
Pirates is yet another "Untouchable" Disney ride. Its a classic and a legend in and of itself. I have not ridden the California version but the Florida version is great also... even with the Jack Sparrow additions (which are some of the most convincing animatronics Ive ever seen). Personally, I like the ride without the additions better. If it were not for the additions I would have given it 10 out of 10. Yes, the additions are fun but I dont think they should have changed the ride to fit the films. The ride came before the films... not the other way around. Lets just hope they keep the Haunted Mansion as it is and dont change it to fit the awful Eddie Murphy version.
9 out of 10.
Great themed queue and the ride is incredible. It has some great theming even though it is pretty much lacking in the thrills dpeartment.
This ride is a way to cool off and see Pirates of the Carrabian up close. Its a long ride and the themeing is great.
Not as good as the one in California, but still a good boat ride. The theming and storyline was outstanding and all of the animatronics were great and all of the scenes were very well done. Also, the ride is pretty long, but not nearly as long as Disneylands since quite a few of the scenes have been cut out.
Not thrilling but wasnt meant to be, the ride puts you into the caribbean and keeps you entertained. A classic attraction
This is a very fun ride. It is obviously well themed and a must do for the whole family. This is perfect for people of all ages. I personally love POC, so I very much enjoy this ride. I like this pirates, but I think the CA edition beats it out by a little.
