very cool effects. just a little crammed in getting into the car. always a classic. not scary and how i like it
I loved the attention to detail in this ride. You feel totally immersed in the environment but you get some serious sensory overload trying to take everything in. Even though it is not scary in the least, it is a very entertaining ride.
The ride has so many details that you can never see it all in one ride. This is a very nice ride. Whats funny is that the graveyard scene still creeps me out.
Haunted Mansion pulls off some really sweet tricks and gimmicks to frighten its riders. Wont go into details since its a dark ride and that just aint right, but just remember its Disney and they do stuff pretty darn well. The one thing I didnt care too much for was the vehicles, I greatly prefer the individual vehicles banging through doors to the never-ending train of sorts that this mansion has. Other than that, an awesome dark ride. Oh, and poor Fred.
At first when I heard that new scenes were to be added to the attraction I was very worried. I thought that Disney may have decided to again make the ride fit with the movie, such as Pirates of the Carribean. I was relieved when I finally was able to ride the attraction a month ago and see that all the updates were an improvement. Without spoiling any of the new features, I can 100% guarantee that they don'.t take anything away from the traditional feeling that this attraction gives off and somewhat add to that. Again I was happy to see that the classic features of the attraction were kept and without one Eddie Murphy animatronic in sight!
Ahh, yes. My all time favorite ride ever. Such an old ride, with so much of a story and background. Just the voice of the Ghost Host gets you in the mood for more and more of it. There are so many secrets of the ride (how they made it, and the story.) This is a must go on if it is your first time. I think that the movie somewhat destroyed the storyline for it though. They did not follow it much at all.
This is an exquisite ride, a work of Disney magic. The effects are amazing and effective, though most are simple. Also, the preshow is possibly the best at Disney. Our gracious Ghost Hosts chilling deep voice is a nice touch, and hes a great character. Im running out of good adjectives, so I guess Ill wrap up my review.
The only downside is that, due to the fact that Walt died before its conclusion, and the subsequent fights over which direction to take the ride, there is no story beyond a tour through a haunted mansion. Fortunately, fans have made more than enough stories and names that help fill the gap.
Hidden in the back of Disney’s Magic Kingdom is one the greatest haunted houses ever designed. It is also probably one of the only ones that can delight both adults as well as children. Disney imagineers didn’t go out of their way to frighten riders, but only tried to provide a fun time for all in an eerie environment which they succeeded in doing. The amount of theming in terms of quality, quantity, and detail in and around the ride is simply one of the best. Not one square foot of this ride was left to waste. The large scale scenery captures your eye while the knitty-gritty detail leaves you without a complaint. Every chandelier is covered with a cobweb drape, every gravestone carries its own message, and everything has its own purpose there. Once strapped into your chair you see all of the ghosts and ghouls lurking around. Each one has its own unique quality. Some dance for you, some talk to you, some pop out to scare you, some even try to ride with you. The mansion is lively and loud with excitement and screams. The gloomy-looking mansion is home to some of the friendliest ghouls to be around.
This is easily my favorite ride in the entire park. Sure, its not scary in the least, but the effects are pretty fun and sometimes downright cool. The outside of the house is themed well, and the introduction to the ride sets the mood nicely. This ride may not pack the whallop of a rollercoaster, but for what it does, it does it well.
this was a great haunted house, cool effects
