The Mantis is really coool. The only thing I hate about this ride is the brake when u are goin down the hill. The rest of the ride is cool though!
The Mantis is a good ride; you get to stand. Thats pretty kewl!!!!!! The loops are exciting and an adrenaline rush.
its ok. there are great gs on this stand-up but the riddlers revenge is way better.
This is the second-best standup coaster in the world in my opinion after Riddlers Revenge. This is one wild ride. The Gs are incredible.
Big drop, nice inversions, lots of Gs!
Just got back from CP last week...and well what happened to this ride? The brake on the first hill was a lot stronger than i remeber it being, and it really ruined the ride, well imop anyway. It caused u to crawl through the loop and every inversion after that..just poor pacing over all. Plus it also was alot rougher than from when i rode it last, and it really gave me a bad head ach.
Ive been on 6 of the 12 stand-ups in existence in the USA and this is the best one hands down. Ive never experienced any of the discomfort that others complain about. If you think its harsh now, you guys should have ridden it before Cedar Point added the trim brakes to the first drop - that was when Mantis was at its best. The first half of this ride features huge elements while the second half is an intense, out of control extravaganza.
My first stand-up, and a fantastic ride! My 2nd favorite coaster at CP.
Ive tried standing every which way on this ride, but the second part just kills my legs, which takes the fun away from the ride. The first drop and the vertical loop are great, however
The Mantis is a steel roller coaster. It is a standing up style. It was built in 1996. It was built by B&M. It is 145' tall, it is 3,900' long, and it has 4 inversions. It is fast, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.
