i dunno the G forces put some strain on my legs and it was pretty rough if i want rough ill take a spin on Mean Streak definetly not waiting inline very long for
This ride wasnt very cool in my opinion. The only thing going for it is that its a standup roller coaster. Otherwise, its a short ride that gives you whiplash at the end. The g-forces are pretty strong.
Not much to say here. Its a very good stand up coaster. Good transitions.
Second best in the park after MF. Smooth, unique layout and great positive gs.
I myself had no problem with this ride. Its fast and it packs a good punch. G forces dont bother me obviously because I got off the ride and was ready to ride again. Keep in mind I wanted 2 hrs to ride this in the blazing heat. It did not dissapoint me at all.
I hated this coaster. there are way to much G-forces acting on you for a stand up coaster. When I got off I felt like crap. That is why I hate this ride
I like Mantis a lot, but its all sort of a blur to me every time I ride it. The first drop is notable because it seems like it takes quite a while to get up there, which I like a lot. A lot of people complain that this ride is too jerky and that it causes leg pain, but Ive never experienced this so heres my tip: when youre loading, slightly bend your knees, but not so much that the ride ops will see it and tell you to readjust yourself. This way, you have room to either stand or slouch a little bit...its works for me.
Anywho, back to my review; I really do like the layout of the ride and its knotted-up look. If it were a little taller, Id give it a ten.
Many people complain that Mantis is a rough coaster. If you think Mantis is rough, ride Iron Wolf. Its MUCH worse. Personally, I think people are confusing strong postive G forces on your legs as roughness, because Mantis has very little headbanging. IMO, its about the same roughness level as Hulk. I love positive Gs as much as negative ones and Mantis has tons of positive Gs. Its one of B&Ms most intense creations, and that is why I love it.
Mantis made King Cobra at PKI look like Millennium Force. This stand-up could-be non-so-much beast has a horrible brake on the first drop which completely slows down the intensity of every inversions, but keeps the pace so slow that you cant feel a comfortable amount of hangtime either. B&M finally got stand-ups right with Georgia Scorcher, but give me King Cobra or Skyrider any day over this dog! Poor pacing and uncomfortable restraints hurt this ride, but not as much as the worst crew at Cedar Point. Very slow, constantly stacking, and no personality. Well, I guess its true that the ops make the ride!
Mantis is a great stand up coaster that is very intense. This ride has such an awesome layout, besides the mid course break, there is not one moment in the ride where the track is straight. The 4th best in the park behind MF, Magnum and Raptor.
