This ride rocked! I waited a couple minuets and when I was on the ride I took my hands of the bar and feet of the foot thingy and it was amazing a great ride!
This ride is just like the thunder n lightning at cedar point..It was OKAY but I could go on the pharaoh's fury at a fair/carnival and have more fun..
I can'.t believe this ride is ranked #22 in Cedar Point. Everytime I go, this is a MUST ride.. no matter how many times I ride it, I always seem to underestimate its power.
Skyhawk was quite a thrill providing a mix of positive and negative g'.s all in a swining motion, I loved how the ride had no OTSR'.S which made the experience so much better, the swingin reaches a point where you see part of the park upside down which was thrilling because of the freedom you had, the ride was most intense when nearing the ground on the biggest swings.
Guess I'.m in the minority but I HATED this ride. The seats were the WORSE of anything I have ever experienced and then the ride it self pretty much was boring and short.
Its huge, its fast, its.....a disappointment? Well no, not really, but I must admit that Skyhawk, while being a great flat ride, left me wanting more. This screamin swing towers back in the parks Frontier Town section, and it looks stunning in its vibrant hues and massive structure. This, my friends, is a swing set on steroids! The crews load this one up pretty well, although I have seen ones do slightly better with this type of ride. As the ride starts up, you begin to feel (and hear) the power that it possesses. The massive air tanks fuel this puppy, and as the swings get higher and higher, the sensations are incredible as you float more than 100 feet in the air. The speed is amazing and once you reach maximum swing, the airtime is really sweet. However, for as fun as this ride is (and it is a blast, no doubt), it misses out on becoming an elite-class flat ride thanks to its one flaw - the ride cycle. I just dont understand why Skyhawk teases riders with a mere one full swing in each direction. Perhaps Im spoiled by my home parks version, which offers up 4-6, and sometimes more, maximum swings routinely. If SwingShot can do it, then why cant Skyhawk? Anyway, although it loses a couple points, make no mistake that Skyhawk is a great addition that is better than many flat rides you find in parks today. This giant swing swoops riders through stellar sensations at a great speed, and delivers a ride that is loads of fun each time! The cycle ends quicker than Id like, but it still gets several rides from me on a visit. Overall, Skyhawk is a very good screamin swing that is worthy of a thumbs up from me.
Skyhawk was a very fun pendulum ride. The restraints were very comfortable and the ride was very smooth. Many of the swings provided some good air time, especially the one full swing which provided some amazing ejector air. That brings up the rides only real weakness: its cycle, which only has one full swing and is exceptionally short.
Great flat just not long enough!
eh, I rode it. It was alot of fun, just SO short. You only did one large pendulum swing. It was too advertised. If they made the cycle longer and the loading/unloading faster, it would deserve a 10. The line was half filled and it took 45 min.
An addition I was very excited for, until i actually rode one at Thorpe Park and I found out they are not nearly as cool as I had hoped. It also seems like they hardly ever run both sides at the same time. The full swing is only given once which is the biggest downfall on this type of ride. If you were even given 3 full swings at max height this would be a nine. As it is this is just a really fun 8. I would recomend it for anyone going to the park as it is still better than almost every flat there and beats most of the overrated coasters. Nice addition.
