Sadly I cant add anything positive to the discussion of this ride. A major let down for those of us who love flying scooters. Why even have this ride if youre going to run it this slow? This leads to LCs biggest problem. They seem to run most of there flats way too slow, as if they were kiddie rides.

This was probably the most disappointing ride in the park. The rudder on this had a chain on it which meant that you couldnt move it fully. If I even tried to snap the cables, an operator would bark at me. It took forever for this ride to stop. I wanted to get off of this ride after 30 seconds. The ride was running extremely slow, ruining any chance of even twisting the tub. The only good thing about the ride was the atmosphere around it. It was quite pretty. This is an extremely sad flyer.

This ride is a pathetic excuse for a flying skooter. The tubs are heavy with tiny, plywood sails, and with the misserably slow pace that this ride runs at, you not only cannot snap these flyers, you cant even get them to move more then a few inches.

VERY slow, VERY boring, and a shadow of what they used to be. When I heard these Scooters were replacing TopSpin, my all-time favorite flat ride, I cried for days. Im still mad about that. Before Kennywood took over the park LC had these Scooters, and if memory serves me right they were un-painted, un-tampered with and alot more fun. Then they disappeared for a few years. The rest is sad history.

A violent slap in the face to any fanatic of the Flying Scooter - this is just a boring, castrated mess. First off, the sails are clipped, as compared to the earlier Bisch-Rocco examples (Knoebels, Paramounts Carowinds, etc). Secondly, cables have been added to the car mechanisms to prevent snapping. Also, the rudders are limited by a stopper. Finally, the death blow - the ride is painfully slow. As a result, although it is certainly pretty to look at, the ride is rather useless, relegated to kiddie status. With all the skill I could possibly muster, there was not a snap to be had. Sigh.

it can get you dizzy which can be fun but they are impossible to snap

Went on this ride last year. I love the paint job, but I do not like the way it is operated. There were no restrictions to the wing when I rode it, but the speed was too slow for any really good snapping. The brakes dont seem to work well. Took way too long to stop the ride.

Attractive. Small kids can ride as well as adults. But not much of a thrill. See adriahnas review for why this ride lacks punch.

A fun swingy ride. I have not ridden a ride like this one since my last trip to Kings Dominion almost 8 years ago. This ride works well in the park because of the relativly short lines.

As mrceagle said... slow moving and the "rudder" is restrained so you cant move it fully. Both of these things make snapping all but impossible. (after riding these and Seabreezes flyers last week, I need to make a trip to Knoebels this weekend to rider Flyers that have not been neutered)
