Even though this is just an ordinary S&S Screamin' Swing, it is pretty awesome. This was my first Screamin' Swing and I am impressed. The pure height the ride went to made me scream. This ride is insanely fun and you shouldn't miss it. I also like some of the effects, like the animatronic weather man, the thunder sounds, and the weather board.

Wild ride... wild feeling speeding downward straight to the ground. Only problem is they only take you to the full height once.

Probably my favorite flat ride out there. Mind games make things exceptional here; the harnesses really enhance that feeling of fear that others were talking about, and the swings feel like you're halfway up to the moon since the seats appear tilted toward the ground. The only negative is the short length as others have touched upon.

I love this ride and wish it were longer with a couple more high swings. Only one side was working, so the wait-time could have been shorter if 32 people could have gotten on at once. Nice fear-factor of feeling like you&#39.re going to fall out of your seat while looking straight down at the ground - it induced lots of screaming and some people were freaked out. The seats facing the mountain at stand-still are definitely better for the view of people below. I admit, I couldn&#39.t go no-hands on this one...gotta trust those harnesses!

I freaking love these things --- the airtimes great, the views are fantastic --- just overall a blast to ride. The cheesy robot weatherman at the entrance of the ride is great, too

this is an amazing ride and it hold a special place it was the first ride after i proposed to my wife

Wow! This is my favorite flat anywhere hands down. It is such a rush and unlike most other Screamin Swings, the theming and location is great between the woods and the midway. A truly amazing ride experience.

My second favorite ride at Lake Compounce and a very good screamin swing as well. The storm theming was cool, from the little weather booth to the mist effects. This one was pretty fast and gave great air on the swings and great sensations as well. However, the cycle was really short.

Thunder and Lighting has swung its way into my heart as one of my Favorite rides. The ride isnt necessarily thrilling. The Swing is Forcefully but smooth, very exiting. The sensation are very enjoyable and I found the ride deferring form a pirate ship more then I would have expected. The act of getting air time while looking straight into the air of to the ground is slightly scary but fun at the same time. A must ride while at the park. Fantastic addition.

I think this ride is going to put the Pirate out of a job. They are generally the same ride, but T&L goes higher, faster, and better. I think Kennywood, which has the same ride got the better of the two names (Swing Shot.) It looks as though that the S&S power "Screamin Swing) is going to become the new Vekoma boomerang, just off the top of my head I can think of like 5 installations already running. BUT back to T&L its fun nice air time unless you have the OP who is having a bad day and decides to rupture your kidneys with the restraint. Also it has a very long load time, because all the bone heads pull down the restrains even after the OP shouts it out of the speaker like 112 times not to. I would never want to work on this ride.
