Wow.....

All I can say is wow.

I went to SFGADV last week thinking Nitro would be in my top ten list, but not even come close to SROS at SFNE, or TTD. To make it short, Nitro is my new #1 coaster.

I waited a max of 10 minutes for this thing. The ride ops are unbelieveable.....cranking trains out like vending machines. I stayed in the same seat 5 times in a row, because when we got back to the station there wouldnt be any people. For that alone I started liking it better then SROS, since wait times up here at SFNE are absolutely brutal.

This is the smoothest ride I have ever been on, better than MF, better than SROS, better than anything. Intamin may rule the roost in terms of size, height, speed, etc, but I give huge props to B&M for making a coaster that rides smoother than my car. Despite remarks about slowness, I found the lift hill moved at a good pace. The view right is of the park, and the view left is of the coasters awesome first half. The drop is incredible, feeling a lot taller than the 215 feet advertised, the second hill begins with a violent ascent up to 189 feet, where you feel as if the train falls off the track at the peak in an interesting diving lean to the left, before rocketing down and up a huge third hill with great floater air. The hammerhead turn is great.....dropping you down towards yet another large hill.....then another tirning drop into an intense helix with great arm-chopper effect.

After the brake run, you get good air on a drop that keads into the bunnyhop finale each with great airtime. Then you get off and run back to the line for another dose. I had 22 shots, and I wanted more......lots more.

Overall this is simply a great ride. It is tall, fast, smooth, and has a layout that features drops rather than twists and turns. I am a drop fanatic, so I loved every second on it, and when it does twist and turn it does it with the best of them. Add the short wait, comfortable trains with minimalist restraints,a great riverside view seen only from the tops of the highest coasters, and one of the most striking color schemes anywhere, and you get a ride that you will never ever want to get off of.

SROS may get the Golden Ticket, but for me, if you want some really big hills, a shot of NITRO is just what the doctor should order.

one of my favorite rides Ive been on but it falls just short of Superman: Ride of Steel at SFNE for its catagory. I love the speed especially when sitting in the first row, and the harness is so perfectly molded it make you want to sit there forever. The wind in your face really helps it and I love pointling out the hirght signs on your way up to my friends. Now I know what it feels like to be strapped to something and falling off Niagra Falls!

Very very good coaster. A little boring because it gets a little to comfy some times, but that is ok. Last row has some ejector, mainly on first drop. First drop is 2nd on my list, second to Millie.

A fun ride, with excellent floater air, and good ejector in the last row, but still very boring IMO, being that I dont really like Floater air, and there is a trim before the Hammerhead which keeps getting turned up higher and higher, but its not a problem right now. Apollo is better, but both are very very fun

This ride has to be the best roller coaster I have ever been on. The first drop is really amazing. I got to do this ride 5 times in a row without having to get out of my seat because the park had just opened and no one was on line and it didnt get old. It has to be the best coaster in the park!

I thought I was going to faint when I saw the blue and yellow mass of steel. I also thought I was going to faint when I was going up the lift hill. When youre cresting over the top of it, especailly at night, it feels like youre at least 400 feet high. When you drop, you get airtime that is unimaginable.

You can actually see NITRO from the very back of the park, and thats when you say to yourself, "I have to ride this." When you run to the tangled mass of steel, it hits you. That thing is huge! You run up toward the queue line, and wait. And wait. And wait. You get strapped in, and youre off. You go through a turn and then you start the chainlift.

Then its over the 2nd hill into a swooping turn. At this point you say to yourself, "Where am I?" Before you can answer yourself, you are up into the hammerhead turn. You hit the mid-course brake run, and then into a few camelbacks. Those are the best camelbacks ever, because you get pushed out of your seat so much it almost hurts. Yet another excellent coaster by B&M.

NITRO IS EXCELLENT!! The first drop is amazing and the second drop turns to the left which adds some excitement. The bunny hills at the end give some major airtime. It was well worth the two hour wait.

I am changing my view on this ride now. I realize that this is the ride of the park. It has an unbalievable drop but the best part of the ride is that it doesnt just stop after 20 sec. it keeps up the intensity for minnutes with helexes and a lot of hills with great air time.

Awesome. Simply awsome. The best ride i have been on yet. The chainlift is very long, which over dramatizing the height, which when you think about it really isnt THAT bad. I would say the chainlift is 50-70 seconds. Then the first drop, very fun, but also very scary. It goes very fast and almost dips vertical. The train "type" makes this drop fun, yet scary. Then up you go into some great camelhumps, which are filled with airtime, simply beautiful. Then some bannked turns which give this ride a nice touch. Some breaks and then 3 great camelhumps, which are incredable. Overall this ride is fast, VERY SMOOTH (unlike Rolling Thunder, see reveiw), and full of airtime. The train "type" make this coaster simply fantastic. You may be scared of thge trains unstability at first, but once those camelhumps come around the bend, the train "type" comes into effect and makes this ride awsome. I would recommend this ride to anyone, it is the best coaster for drops.

The first over 200 ft coaster for me, and it didnt let me down. Great first drop, good speed, nice floating air over the hills. The helix provides great positive gs right before the break run, and the bunny hills back to the station give good floating air, particularly the last one.
