Solid flippin ride. Nitro was among the rides that I anticipated heavily going into my recent trip, and it met the expectations. While I still prefer Apollos slightly, it is still a blast and in different ways. The first drop is bigger and therefore faster, but doesnt quite had the heavenly air that Apollos provides. Nitro makes up for it with some strong forces and speedy transitions. The steeply-banked hammerhead turn or whateva-ya-callit (sorry, I was in Jersey and picked up some of the lingo LOL) was a thrilling sensation, and the air on the humpbacks was still phenomenal. While the airtime wasnt overly abundant (I cant imagine something would top AC), I still felt that it was very good, and you have to equate in the ultra-comfy seats with the superb lap bars. The helix was perhaps the biggest suprise, as it was super intense, so there too it gets big points (beats Apollos) but in the end, I will "settle" with a solid Top 10 coaster and a blast to ride. SFOG, put one in for me. Pretty please?

Wow! I loved this coaster. Im glad I took some advice from fellow posters here to ride this baby first. I didnt get to Nitro till about 11:30 am, but still didnt have to wait too long. I chose the first car since I didnt think Id make another ride until my next visit. Great drops and lots of air time! I think the contacts permanently bonded to my eyes on that trip. Gave a thumbs up to the camera when the time came. Im looking forward to trying the last seats on my next trip.

This is my favorite coaster. I stopped counting how many times Ive been on it. I went to the park on opening day and It was so cold out. It was definitly an experience sitting in the front row with the wind blowing in your face getting dropped 232 feet and your eyes tearing from the wind. Definitly a rush. Best ridden in the front row, you get some awesome airtime and the feeling of falling out of your seat.

If anyone has ever told you that you do not get good airtime on a B&M mega coaster, they are full of it. That is a totally ludacris statement. Also, there is the argument that Intamin has more intensity than anything that B&M has ever thought of... well, the people that believe that have not been on Nitro. From the first drop all the way through, Nitro throws tons at you. Now, it does not seem as tall anymore with a mammoth that is twice its size lurking at the other side of the park, but what does that really have to do with anything. The intimidation is still there the first time around. The ride is sickingly fast and very well paced, just like most B&Ms. The first drop is very quick, and the overbank is amazing, especially from an end seat. The ride is relentless. The most intense point is the helix. I have heard people say that this helix is like nothing... Intamin is not God people. If you think that this helix is not intense, then you only have 4 senses: Taste, Sight, Hearing and Smell. You can feel it all the way through. And as for the airtime, well, lets just say airtime bliss. There is airtime glore on this bad boy. And the trains are wonderful. They are great. Shear genious. The layout is great. The ride is great. B&M really outdid themselves. Even with Kingda Ka coming, this is the ride of the park, just like Millenium Force still is even with Top Thrill Dragster hovering above. If you are a true coaster enthusiast, you will see the pure brilliance that this coaster is. It is without a doubt a masterpiece, and I cant wait to experience another B&M mega coaster.

A great ride... it really puts Six Flags Great Adventure on the map. I love the feeling of going down this first drop, especailly in the front. I also love getting lifted out of my seat. The only thing it was lacking was forces besides negative gs... no laterals or positives.

Nitro is absolutely insane. The line is never long at all. The first drop feels so great, the open sided cars make you feel the effect of the drop much more than on other hypercoasters. The ride is so smooth! I dont feel anything besides the HUGE amounts of airtime. You get so much air! The ride is nice and long, and good luck finding a better hyper coaster

This ride is the best ride there is. The ride is not only smooth, but the seats are very comforatable. The only was to get on the ride quickly is through the line quickly is the Q-bot

This ride is so fast, so awesome, so vertical! I love it. After the ride my mouth was dry and I guzzled 3 water bottles
