Adventureland and the Jungle Cruise are synonymous with each other. I mean, what’s more adventurous than a river cruise through the jungle where you come face to face with a cornucopia of wild animals? Well, Disney has pulled off the concept to perfection, and apparently many others agree with me as well, as generally this has pretty long waits that rest around 30 minutes or so, but if by some chance they do get too unbearable for you to endure, just grab a Fastpass so you can enjoy this truly classic attraction.

First off, as with all attractions that feature live tour guides, the quality of one’s guide typically dictates whether or not one enjoys the attraction or not. Let’s be honest, a lively, humorous guide really just lightens up the mood and makes the entire experience more enjoyable. Well don’t worry, as I’ve never had an issue whatsoever with any of Disney’s tour guides and the Jungle Cruise is no exception. Throughout the ride, the tour guides interact with riders, cracking cheesy yet amusing jokes and just injecting tons of energy into an already enjoyable attraction.

As for the ride itself, quite simply put, it’s very well executed in typical Disney fashion. Throughout the journey riders encounter a wide variety of animals ranging from cobras to alligators and even to Bengal tigers! My favorite scene far and away is the famous hippo scene where the boat is attacked by some angry hippos, only to be fended off by the brave tour guide with the aid of some weaponry, which is pulled off by a very cool water effect.

But along with the animals scattered throughout the attraction, the scenery is absolutely incredible. It really feels like you’re in the middle of an Amazon jungle and not a Florida theme park! Disney perfectly utilized wild vegetation, waterfalls, and caves to make the experience feel that much more authentic. And not only is attraction a blast, but it’s also fairly long as it takes about 10 minutes to complete the journey.

Despite its age, this classic still provides a rip-rollicking time from start to finish that few attractions can match. The combination of energetic tour guides, mind-blowing scenery, and very well executed and comical animal scenes makes the Jungle Cruise one of the park’s best attractions. Heck, I actually prefer the Jungle Cruise and it’s animatronics over Animal Kingdom’s renowned Killimanjaro Safaris since it’s much more entertaining since all of the sights can be witnessed near the boat, not way in the distance sleeping. Definitely save some time for this Disney classic, as no visit is complete without this classic attraction.

I like the idea for the ride and I like the animatronics. The guide is always TOO cheesy, but...thats the point and I know that. This is one of the first things that we do when we go because thats when the line seems to be shortest. If I had to wait, like, an hour for this ride, I wouldnt. It aint that good.

the boat drivers have some talent, I dont think i could do that all day and still laugh, but the ride is a nice lighthearted way to relax.

A good themed attraction and funny jokes but its a little outdated and the line is not worth the wait. Now that Disney put Animal Kingdom in.The Jungle Cruise is just not that fun anymore.

I hate this ride.this and the swiss family tree house is just a waste of time and money. The only time you should ride this is when theres no line wich is very rare. They should get rid of this and put Indiana jones in like they have at disneyland.

this was my very first ride at walt disney world so of course i luv it! for me, the tour operator made the ride gr8! in disneyland with a different operator it wasnt the same.

a relaxing boat ride with a few gimmicks...what i love about disney pakrs is on every ride, you are enchanted and involved in the theming..you feel like you are actually in a jungle, as you cant see the park through the thick vegetation

If you have the right guide this can be a very fun trip. A nice boat ride, defiantly more appealing for the kids than teens and adults.
