The power surge ride isnt for everyone. I personley like them This was was far less spectacular then the one I have been on in Palace playland in ME. But still a very enjoyable ride. The Cycle was a good length but the program was a bit week.
APPEARANCE: Power Surges appearance was no different than any other Zamperla power surges. Also, I liked the light package on this one as it really illuminated the ride greatly at night.
WAIT TIME: Walk On- Like all Power Surges, this one had a good capacity, seating 24 riders per cycle, which was more than enough for Playland. Loading was a bit tedious, but nothing outrageous.
RIDE: I always love a good Power Surge, and this one is no different. Unfortunatley though, this ones base didnt rotate which ruined the ride a bit, but Power Surge still delivered a great ride. Like all of them, Power Surge provided a thrilling ride that was quite disorienting. There was plenty of looping, but some flipping was lost due to the base not spinning. Also, Power Surge has a relatively short cycle.
FINAL VERDICT: Though the weakest of the Power Surges I have been on, this one still was a fun ride and one of Playlands better rides. Sad to see this ride get removed.
"Oh yeah! Thats what Im talking about!" Thats what I said when I was riding it. Its an awesome ride and its my favorite upsidown thrill ride (besides looping coasters). It blows me away every time I experience one of these rides!
Looks more sickening than it is. It is especially cool when you do a back flip. I agree, it is a great way to impress your friends. Definatly worth a ride on when going to Playland.
An okay looping ride not as exciting as it looks. Worth riding to impress your friends, otherwise its optional.
A decent ride that turns you upside down as you spin.
