Better than I thought. It was smooth and somewhat fun. Too bad the mist in the pond wasnt working. We also hopped right on it.

Not nessesarily the best of CPs coasters, but not the worst, either. Iron Dragon is worth at least one ride at the park. I like how it cruises over the lagoon. It really picks up the pace at the end.

A rather tame suspended coaster. I thought it was fun though. It is what it is.

A very tame starter coaster to me. Not much in the way of thrills, but theres never a line up, either.

Interesting to look at, but the fun stops there. The ride is slow and dull. It seems like some sort of failed prototype. It also emits awful sounds.

I now have an even greater appreciation for the genius behind Big Bad Wolfs design! Iron Wolf was an extremely tame Arrow Suspended coaster with minimal swing-action and a permeation of lameness that was just undeniable. The only redeeming moment of the ride was the final pretzel-helix element and the fact that it wasnt unbearably rough. Otherwise, Iron Wolf is worth a spin only for the coaster count. The color combo is absurdly ugly as well, in my opinion. From the pictures, it looked much better with its old paint job

This is a somewhat tame ride. The drops arent very big, and its fairly smooth for so much swinging. Thankfully, my second and final ride was actually better, as I sat in the back. You get pulled down the drops a little better. Great setting. If you havent tried a suspended swinging coaster yet, try it. Its a decent family coaster.

I was excited to ride Iron Dragon because Id only been on one other suspended coaster (Big Bad Wolf). The lagoon setting and Asian theming at the station were cool. The opening half is pretty mundane, just a slow trip through the small wooded area in between Mantis and TTD. Its weird how Big Bad Wolf opens with a short 50 ft. lift and after you drop you pick up crazy speed. Maybe on Iron Dragon you dont even drop 40 ft. because you whiz through the trees you dont fly through them. Anyway, the second half saves the ride from being a total waste. The finale over the foggy pond is what suspended coasters are all about. Some nice tight swinging turns in an interesting setting. Its very fun and that section is fun for onlookers too. Iron Dragons a good coaster for kids, beginners, and grandma. Final Rating - 4.5 (Below Average-Approaching Average)

Although the ride is a little slow and has 2 lift hills, to me it seemed cooler when I was younger because of all the trees and winding through the woods. Now everything but the end is pretty boring. A lot of the trees have been removed for Millenium Force, Dragster, and maybe Mantis. Because of this, the Dragon has gotten worse. This is a ride I can honestly see being taken out along with Disaster Transport.

I am not fond of rides with two lift hills. I think that it kills any action in the ride, it splits rides into first and second halfs, and is like a little nap in the middle of the ride. The first half in nothing to write home about. Its hard to be very good with this suspended format, because the only thing you can do is sharp turns. The second half is a little bit more exciting with a good helix that is visible next to the mid way and gets fairly close to the water below. But then the ride is over. Suspended are good warm ups for kids that arent ready for inverted coasters.
