Pending if you ride the rollercoaster backwards or not its still a fun wooden helixed rollercoaster. Alot of head chopping tunnels and forest dives that come out of no where. I will say ride it backwards...thats a great plus to the ride!

One of the better mine trains I've been on and a very pleasant surpise on my trip to Silver dollar city. It has the option to ride both forward and backwards and I recommend doing both if possible. Good speed, very smooth. nice ride!

I think this ride is great. It's a little rough but it's amazing the way it goes around all the trees. Many people wait in line to go backwards. Many people do skip this one though because it's not big like Wildfire or Powder Keg, sometimes making the line extremely short.

One of the better mine train rides out there. I like the way the helix gets tighter and tighter before the tunnel. The option to ride backwards is pretty darn cool.

You would be surprised at how many people visit Silver Dollar City and miss this ride!! It is definatly a pleasent surprise, and is almost always easy to get into. I dont like the walk all the way down the hill, then back up the steps to get to it though, however on busy weekends like "Young Christians Weekend" that long line is needed. This ride seems like it is going much faster than it really is, and the sweep through the tunnel always makes me scream. I think it is fun to ride this ride with someone who has never been on it, because when they face the lift, they are like "Oh my God, its gonna go straight down!" and then watch their faces when they see what it really does after the lift. I love the trees on this ride, because it hides much of the ride, and around every corner, you are surprised. This is still my favorite ride in SDC.

The surprise of the day... this mine train packed more of a punch than I was expecting. On this ride, there are actually trees close to the ride and this greatly intensifies the feeling of speed. The ride starts with a twisting drop out of the station to the right. Then takes a left turn and goes into the neatest element on this ride - the spiraling helix. I love this element. Why dont more rides have this? The helix becomes tighter and tigher than the train roars into a tunnel at the end. Out of the tunnel, the ride takes a large sweeping turn into the valley. In this part, the train seems to be flying. I was really surprised at how fast it feels like you are going during this part. The ride comes out of this turn and hits some brakes to prepare for the lift (yes the lift is towards the end of the ride). Off the lift, the train takes a slow turn to the left and then takes a steep twisting drop, again to the left. Pulling out of the drop, the train rounds a right turn and hits the final brake run. To add to this great ride, you also have the option to ride backwards which adds even more to this ride.

This was a nice but very short mine train. The lift at the end is nothing really special, but the spiraling helix was nice. The ride also seem to really pick up some speed after the helix... too bad they didnt use all of that speed. Good ride, but it could have been made longer. Plus, the trains are hard to get into. The lapbars are deformed and slant downward. But once you actually get into your seat, its pretty comfomy.
