Date Ridden: January of 2008. Times Ridden: 3 total laps. Triple Hurricane is what is. It is a junior woodie desgned for the entire family. There is no airtime to speak of but some nice laterals and an overall smooth and fun experience. I can see this being a woodie that younger coaster enthusiasts could get on and ride continuously. It is not scary yet still offers the thrilling experience of riding a "real" coaster. When visiting Cypress Gardens, dont forget to take a spin or two on the Hurricane. There is never a line and the experience (particularly at night with the park lit up with cheesey carnival lights) will be a pleasant one. Triple H is a solid 6 but since I enjoyed it better than any mouse ride Im giving it a bump to 7.

This is the best coaster there besides the starliner.
Which i havent had a chance to ride yet.
Small but a descent ride.
The last turn hurts because you get plowed in the side by the person next to you.
But its ok

Pretty good junior wooden coaster. The first drop actually gave some air in the back and a few of the following bunny hills gave some air as well. Also, the ride was really smooth throughout.

This coaster deserves an 8 easily, maybe a bit higher! I know Cypress Gardens doesnt pack the punch of the nearyby Theme Parks, but Cypress was the first one in Florida, its the one that started it all! Their coasters also dont pack the MAJOR thrill punch

However, Triple Hurricane was a nice addition to the park, it was a bit tame, but a roller coaster none the less! It may only be 40 feet tall and only reach a speed of 32 miles per hour! But it gives you the traditional Wooden Rollercoaster feel! You do get some airtime and not to intense of a G Force (only topping out at 2.5 Gs). Its ONLY 50 seconds down and back, but the air time is nice and overall a fun ride for the family and for the kids in training!

This coaster does deserve an 8! It does sometimes have down times, but its a fun ride that you can love if you give it a chance!

It was an okay woodie. The drops werent huge, and it was pretty small. It reminded me of Little Dipper at Kiddieland. They are just too smaller types of wooden coasters. On all the roller coasters, they let me go around twice. This ride is just nothing special at all. Its no Screamin Eagle, Georgia Cyclone, Blue Streak, or Great American Scream Machine (SFOG).

I find it funny that a ride can be named Hurricane, but not Tsunami. Overall a pretty uneventful woodie that only ranks above Pegasus at Mt. Olympus in the junior woodie world. I found parts of it to have some roughness and no way is it smoother then the woodies at BGA. I would have to say this is the best coaster at CG, however after my spin me silly experience on Galaxy Spin, that ride ranks as most memorable, hence the higher score.

Smoothest woodie in Central Florida! OK now thats out of the way, heres my thoughts. It is a junior woodie, but not my favorite. I still like the Ghoster Coasters better, for some reason, this thing just didnt do it for me. We walked on and stayed on for a couple of rides and even in the back I was planted in my seat. The slamming turn back into the station was funny and overall the ride was tame and just decent. Hard to believe its an "ACE Classic" after less than 2 years :-|

Keeping in mind the fact that this is a Junior coaster, I found it to be pretty enjoyable. I rode it a few times, and there was actually some decent airtime in the back. Ill tell you what, it was hilarious seeing the little kids faces when on the ride and standing in line. These are the kids who have never been to a "real" park, and think this thing is huge and amazing.

This is Cypress Gardens best rollercoaster and is pretty fun too.You go up the first lifthill drop down get your picture taken then go up another hill wich has a little bit of airtime to it then drop down. Its pretty much the same thing through out the ride you just do bunny hops that are about 15 feet high then drop down.It has some airtime and is not bad for a little rollercoaster.Your top speed is 32 mph and that is pretty fast for a rollercoaster that size.Triple Hurricane was the only ride in the park that had a line with about a 15 minunte wait. Also through out the day it kept braken down.Triple Hurricane is a fun woddie and you can only find it at Cypress Gardens Adventure park.
