Usually I am not excited to ride carousels like I was yesterday. I must admit, pictures make this ride look even better than it looks in person, but it is still a beautiful antique ride. HOWEVER, while riding this thing, it was just a pointless ride. Im sorry, but I had zero fun on it. But then, I shot a glance at this thing a few minutes later while in line for Dodgems I believe, and I realized how beautiful this thing is. Its truely an antique and a work of art. Although the ride it self is about a 2, the beauty and classic factors of the Carousel are a 10.

Just adding the review to give it enough for a TPC overall rank. Lots and lots of childhood and family memories here. Hes big and beautiful for what he is, but... hes a carousel. Great for kids, great for grandparents, great for kids and grandparents together to bond over and learn about the good ol days, great for history and historic preservation tours. Wonderful for building long lasting memories with the little ones. Trimpers as a small family business deserves a LOT of credit for keeping him around and maintained. UPDATE: Just returned from a visit, and I have no choice but to move the big guy up a point just for the loving maintenance and incredibly variety of creatures - its not a matter of horses and a lion or two, theres a dragon and goat and frogs and ostriches and housecats - not something where they can restore one and just copy it onto the others. Still beautiful after all this time. But I must know - are the tails real horse hair?

Just the fantastic artistry and condition of this ride make it worthy of a top rating. The animals are quite varied and beautiful. I epecially love the sea dragon, frogs, ostrich and pig. Im goofy-cant help it. The whole inside of the kiddie area is filed with old rides- its like a step back in time.

A great carosel, it is well maintained and is very large. This is definatly the center piece of the park. Unfortunatly, the organ doesnt work, I dont know if it is the broken one located on display in the park or if it is somewhere else.

This is a truly fine historic carousel that is lovingly maintained and housed in a magnificent original setting. I love the animals and the rocking sleigh. This would have gotten a 10 if it had a working band organ.

This is a magnificent carousel, in a magnificent setting, magnificently restored and operated. I would give it a ten if it werent for the absence of an operating band organ, but dont let that stop you from riding. The menagerie figures are just incredible, and original rounding boards are a sight to behold. The surroundings are great, too - classic kiddie rides of distinguished vintage, including a kiddie whip, miniature Illions carousel, and Roto-Jets. Seeing how beautifully the older rides are kept, you really have to hand it to Trimpers.
