Long cycle and high swinging make the ride intense. I love the building just to the North that has a bunch a flip flops on the roof from people that were too stupid to take them off.

As far as thrills go, this is by far the best Trimpers has to offer. They certainly have rides with more aura, mystique, and flat out classic greatness than Freak Out, but as far as thrills, nothing can top this. The ride starts out by spinnig you a bit more than swinging you, which is a pretty good warm up for the fun that is to come. Then you get several good swings with good and unique floater airtime on 4 or 5 of them. Its fun how the airtime is slightly different on each swing because you are in a different possition because of the swinging. And the wind rush you get on basically every one of the swings is great. Thank goodness for excellent OTSRs which are actually friendly even to the 6-4 folks like myself. It had a short cycle, especially considering how long other cycles at Trimpers are, but nontheless, this is my new favorite flat ride. I cant wait to check out the Huss Giant Frisbees now!

I finally allowed myself the guts to give this pendulum a go, and came out the better for it. Well, okay... guts, or maybe it was Cyclonic, sort of leading the way up the ramp and onto the platform. Regardless, Freak Out gives a good ride experience, helped out only moreso by a ride op who actually drove the machine, rather than just putting her in auto mode. Swinging back and forth, higher and higher, sometimes spinning, sometimes just swooping... it was a mixed bill, and lots of fun. No real motion sickness, either - just laughs galore. The cycle was a tad short, but concerning rides like this, maybe thats not such a terrible thing. Well worth a visit while at Trimpers.

Amazing. Spinning high in the air with decent air time significantly beyond the horizontal (120 degrees I think), it was not comforting to see someones lost shoes on the adjacent roof. Flying over a roof is scary in itself. The slow spin rate was well timed to fully feel the effect of the swing. This was one of the rides along the path to obsession that forced me to face my mortality & just get over it in order to move on to things that scare me even more. Update: After additional rides, it became obvious that the ops were giving longer rides when there wasnt a line, and letting people remain on the ride when not many people were in line (it only has a capacity of 16).

Well I have been to Hershey Park and A ride there is similar to this one and it is called Claw and that one gets a lot of attention and I dont know why because this one has a way longer ride and goes so much more past vertical past vertical. If you get the ride pass you can ride it as much as you want

This pendulum-style flat ride is a great addition to Ocean City. Unlike the similar HUSS pendulums, the swing on this Chance Rides model goes beyond horizonal. The sound and light show also excels.

A nice flat with some good air time. It also has a good location off the boardwalk with a nice aerial view. It did make me a bit dizzy and queasy before dinner, however. I give major props to the ride op because: a) he gave us a long ride and b) made my nervous cousin feel more at ease. She wasnt sure if she wanted to ride it and he assured her if she put her arm up he would stop the ride. She would up really liking it. (Rode this again about a couple months later and really enjoyed it-great dizzy views of the boardwalk area and a fair amount of ride time-gonna up my score from 7 to 9.)
