Raptor is a fantastic invert. I will never forget my first ride, which had me in total fright, but once I started plummeting down the first drop I was filled with laughter. Raptor is great for me because it gives me that funny feeling in my stomach that I search for when riding new coasters. The cobra roll and helix at the end are AMAZING...I love Raptor.
Great ride. Not as good as Deuling Dragons, but still a great ride. I almost didnt get to ride it, but Im glad the people I was going to CP with finally gave in!
As you can see from my username, I love this ride. Out of all the B&M inverts I have ridden so far: B:TR, Raptor, Dueling Dragons Ice and Fire, Alpengeist, and Montu, Raptor is still my favorite, just edging out Montu. From start (with an almost straight drop, the only B&M invert WITH a straight drop) to finish, the action does not let up at all. The forces, twists, and turns are all so strong that you get off feeling completely disoriented. It has the perfect layout for an invert.
Great ride with an awesome layout, much better than B:TR. Great ending helix too. 3rd best in the park behind Magnum and MF.
Raptor is one of my favorite coasters, because it seems to be perfectly designed and engineered for everyone to really feel the forces and intensity of each element especially as you ride towards the back. I love the end helix and the drops mad once you feel like youll swing over the midway. Well, once youve been on Montu, Dueling Dragons, and Batman The Ride all in one weekend, it makes me rethink why Raptor is rated so highly. The elements are a lot less intense that all of these coasters and the theming is way below par compared to every single one of the others.
Great ride! Love it. Use to like Mind Eraser, but this one just completely eclipsed Mind Eraser. Raptor is just flat out fun! Lots of Gs speed and flips. Great!
Raptor is my second favorite roller coaster at Cedar Point and my favorite inverted coaster ever! Both the drops out of the lift and out of the midcourse brakes really made you feel like you were flying and in the back seat, you feel like youre ripped through ever single inversion and thats definitely where you should sit at every time! You gotta ride it, because you dont get these types of forces and sensations to be able to experience everyday!
Raptor is my overall favorite inverted roller coaster, and until Millennium Force and W.T., it was my favorite roller coaster I have ever ridden. From the first drop out of the station, this ride is non-stop speed and airtime. After the quick curve (that is one sharp bend in the track!) the first drop is incredible, I think better than BKF at SFWoAs, even though thats a flyer. I love B+M coasters, and they did an excellent job in designing this coaster! Also, the inversions galore are tight, its like one after another, and the helix finale rocks, too (+Gs x 10!).
Yeah, I rode Millenium Force (4 times) and Wicked Twister (twice), but at the end of my day at Cedar Point, it was the Raptor that captured my heart. This thing is an absolute masterpiece. Previous to this, I had ridden inverteds at Busch Gardens Tampa (Montu) and Islands Of Adventure (Dueling Dragons) and I had loved Montu (not so much the Dragons). While Montu clearly has better theming and delivers a lot of wide-open thrills along its expansive course, I have to give the nod on ride experience to Raptor. Its compact design delivers some very subtle and clever effects that made me howl with delight. It may not be the tallest or the fastest inverted coaster, but thats OK--it is a real gem of perfection. I definitely look forward to the day when I can experience Raptor again.
This ride is a very good ride. The first drop is the best first drop of any inverted coaster. Raptor is very smooth, although I did bang my head on the cobra roll. The helix at the end is a great way to finish off this great coaster. A must ride at CP.
