I was plesantly suprised with this ride when I first rode it in 2000. However, when I went back to the park in 2001, it felt like Medusa was a little rougher. That does not at all affect my rating though. My favorite part would definetly have to be the zero-g roll. That is unbelievable. I just dont understand the hype about floorless coasters. It wasnt any better than a regular sit down coaster. Therefore, Im giving this ride an 8. Still an awsome coaster though!
overall a fun ride not as intense as others and the theming of medusa is a little strange in the frontier adventures section of the park but it is silky smooth the lime green color is intriguing the first loop is incredible and the line moves quick. not a ten cause it lets up a little at after the brake run (Best heartline twist ever)
Yes, this ride is amazing to look at and take pictures of, but it is awful to ride! Throughout the entire duration, I felt as though my neck would snap. The restraints almost suffocated me, and I am 5 foot 6, not too tall or too short. Not only was the restraint system bad, but while we were departing the station, I noticed a significant amount of rust all over the tracks. Im sorry to say that I regret ever riding it.
this ride is extremely good. It has everything a classic roller coaster needs. Smooth transitions, great inversions, and long duration. I dont know what else to say about this ride except that it is GREAT! I think that is just beats nitro too! If you every go to great adventure, this is definetely a must!!!!
Similar to the Hulk at IOA, this thing is great. The speed, the first drop, every element of this ride is great.
This is a great ride. Just falls short of nitro on my expectations but is awesome and is really long with a ton of inversions.
Definitly one of the best rides in the park, a great drop and many inversions. If you go early in the morning threw season pass entrance you can get on at least 5 times! its great
Medusa was great especially if u looking 4 corkscrews like me.
To sum this coaster up, wow. ive never ridden Kumba, so i dont know about the exact copy thing, but from the start to the finish, you get an exhilirating ride without a break. looks very imposing right from the que area, and the floorless effect adds to the ride experience. second best coaster at the park, and a must-do for all coaster lovers. Also, as a side note, ride this in the front row, the floorless aspect really gives you the full effect from the front tow.
Very good ride, but not perfect, so I got to hold the 10. FIRST floorless, and a B&M masterpeice. Great structure of the Que (entering through the Cobra Roll)and classic B&M interlocking corkscrews surprise the furst time rider who may think this ride has only 5 inversions when it actually has 7. Very good ride, but Nitro is still the best ride at Great Adventure.
