Very fun shoot the chute ride. Tidal Force had a slow moving line thanks to slow loading, but the ride was worth it. This is about twice the size of the normal flume and therefore the drop was far better than on the normal Hopkins flume, as this one was very fast and thrilling. The splash the boat made was gigantic and it completely soaked me.

Ill give Tidal Force a 10. Yes it is short, but if you want a long flume ride get inline for Coal Cracker. It gets you soaked, which is all it is meant to do and it does it very well. Very nice Shoot the Chutes ride.

Huge splash, but not quite as big as the Mile High Falls splash (SFKK). As I seem to always say, shoot the chutes need a bit more to them to get an 8 or 9, but I really like huge splashes, so I gave it a 7.

The #1 flume ride in my opinion. I rode in the first row and got DRENCHED. The drop was good and steep for a flume and you get really wet. BE sure to stand on the wood bridge too.

Tidal Force was an amazing shoot the chute ride and is my favorite one I have been on, even over Escape From Pompeii. Located in Pioneer Frontier towards the back of the park, Tidal Force is much larger than the average shoot the chute, twice as large. Standing 100ft tall, Tidal Force makes the largest wave I have ever seen on a water ride that I have seen. Running 3 green boats each seating 20 people, Tidal Force has a decent capacity. Entering underneath a giant white and red lighthouse, you approach the station. I encountered a 20 minute wait for Tidal Force because it took a while to load and dispatch because the boats take a very long time to climb the long lift hill. My favorite seat is the front seat because of the great view. Once you board the boat, you are restrained by a black lap bar. Soon you begin your tedious climb up the long, 100ft tall lift hill. You get some amazing views of Hersheypark while going up the lift hil, especially of the many spectacular coasters. At the top of Tidal Force, you slowly ride around a U-turn and plunge down the long 100ft drop gaining some very good speed. The amazing drop was followed by a mammoth splash getting my absolutely drenched. You get even wetter by a lot of water collected during the giant splash getting caught in a holder and is released over you getting you even wetter. Then you slowly travel around a slow U-turn back into the station, ending the ride. Overall, an excellent shoot the chute ride that is the best one I have been on. I highly recommend this ride to anyone who enjoys shoot the chutes. Tidal Force is even better on a hot day because you come off drenched. Getting wet on the wooden bridge is fun afterwards getting you even wetter, even with the screen there.

Rarely have I been on a boat ride that is so guaranteed to get you wet. Everytime you see people get off the ride, they look like they just got out of a swimming pool, as did we after our ride. The screen over the splash area really makes a difference, so that you get 3 extra drenchings in addition to the initial splash. Not only that, but the hill and drop are also of a decent size for this style of ride. I give it a 10, not on the same scale of a coaster, but because it is a darn near perfect water ride if your sole goal is to get soaked. Thrown in a large drop and a good, central placement, and youve got a winner.

Has a nice long climb up to the top, followed by a good sized plung back down, youll get soaked. The only thing that could be better is if they took away that splash protector thing on the bridge, kind of defeats the purpose.

This is a soaker that gets the job done. You climb up an long hill with knot in gut. Then go around and see where you are going. Then the big drop. Then a wave you cant block. It lost some points because it slams you against the lapbar when it hits the bottom. Best of all is that I enjoy it no matter where I ride.

I am not a fan of Shoot the Chutes. Go up, turn, go down, get wet. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
