Started to design it for World Showcase. Then made it, its own park. And hurried to open it before Universal.

i agree with taylor b there was a special on travel channel they did hurry to open it just so they could beat universal. and thats what i was talking about before they never let anyone else steal the spotlight, it is always on them. thats why the potter land wont go unanswered by disney, expect something big.

I am with the people that say Disney is going to add something. Regardless of whether they *need* to add something, they are going to *want* to add something to get some of there "thunder" back.

Yes they did originally plan it for Epcot, then opted to go to a full park. There were attraction that were planed to one with the park or right after it. but didn't happen. Dick Tracy and The original Young Frankenstein's castle(tower of terror) never saw the light when it was intended.
Granted they opened when they did to open first but they didn't build it because of them.

I hope Disney puts in something big next year!! That would be amazing! I can't wait for the day they announce it.

i don't think anything huge will happen in 08 so don't get excited for an announcement thare cuz it wont happen. as for 09 or 2010, thats when i see something huge happening cuz thats when potter is planned to open. in 08 toy story mania will be the biggest thing.

^and that is what we said. 2008 is when they are putting in toy story which is next year.

Many times it has been stated that Disney is not going to make any special ride additions just because of HP. Disney spends years developing rides and anything for 2009 would have started by not and not in any way because of HP at IOA.

they shouldn't rush anything. if they rush it, it might not be as good as it could of been. let them take their time and create something perfect. they won't need to speed things up anyway they have so many ideas they put on the back burner for later that they can just pull one of them out. can't wait to see what it is though and remember you can't rush perfection.

The only things you might see speed up in show changes and Slight entertainment changes. Things that are easily implemented.

lets get this one started back up! come on state more ideas! my idea is they will do something but not to counter potter but cuz they have had it planned for awhile. i personally like the pirate land idea and hope it happens.

Well lets see. Screamscape had rumored 2008 for a big year for MGM. Toy Story Mania, New Show theater taking over ABC Building, Revamped playhouses Disney,permanent Jedi Academy, and a major addition for 2009/2010.
These attraction being added throughout 2008 will be more of a new thing in 2009. All they need to do is advertise. It's easier to stay on Disney and go to Universal then to stay at universal and get to Disney.

I think Beastly kingdom is still a few years out but Maybe Ak can add another major animal Exhibit. Why not the Australian outback.
The Country has many animals that are very interesting. I'm sure they could Work in a few Rides. again look to Folktales for ride ideas.

australia sounds cool. i actually think i heard a rumor about that before. but no boomerangs. those things suck. i think animal kingdom is about 1 or 2 major attractions away from being a top notch theme park. i would love to see crush's coaster go into mgm in the new pixar place section as well.

I don't want a boomerang either but it fit well and it at least gave me laugh one it pooped into my head.
