Any rumors we are hearing now have been toyed around at Disney for years. There not new. Half the Rumors posted on those 3 updates. By the way edits are a better way to go. it's more organized.
Disney is not reacting to HP. and Screamscape likes to add there 1.50 to the lot.
I sent Screamscape a Photo once for Story land in Glen, NH The sign simply indicated that that are was for future use. He then took the sign and made up this thing about the sign being a clue of the upcoming area after I sent to him what the park was thinking of using the land for. Screamscape needs to be taken with a slight grain of salt.

Your opinion of what is going on is find thare. Just the fact that you think DISNEY needs to worry or react to Harry Potter is crazy.

They don't need to worry, I just think they will speed up their process of a new attraction.

No it won't. They don't care what goes on across the street. They are Disney. The name says it all. If we were talking about Six Flags or a couple of small rival parks, then maybe, but we are talking about Disney.

Well, I think the next thing they get will be some type of family coaster. What park it will be at is unknown. I like the pirates plan for MK! That would be awesome.

No, they have a plan to change all of Adventureland into a whole pirate land. For more details go to Screamscape. It was just a couple of days ago. The coaster sounds really cool!

i know you cant believe everything but they are a reliable source for the most part. i found out about griffon there. i found out about darkastle there. i found out about toy story mania and many other disney rides there. i just found out about harry potter there. i use screamscape because they let me know what is coming to parks. they do post a bunch of bogus rumors but they also post a lot of good stuff to. i dont believe everything on the site heck i dont even think pirate land or cars at mgm will happen. i just brought the ideas over here to see what everyone would think.

I do believe that disney will do something in 2009 to combat HarryPotter. They won't say it was because of HP but they will do something to keep people on their resort.

Disney has a HUGE following... Universal does not. Almost all of the tourists in Orlando come because of disney... Not because of Universal.

Disney is the center of everyone's trip to Orlando. Universal is usually an afterthought.

Screamscape is reliable for the most part. Some things are false, but some things are true. You just have to have an open mind while reading. Disney will put something in, but they won't say it was because of Potter.

Screamscape is reliable in terms of hard news, but there are so many rumors that float around on there it is ridiculous. They post just about anything on that site.

They post way too many rumors and especially for larger parks like Disney, Universal, etc. I highly doubt Disney is making a Cars 2 for 2009. Why Disney has expressed interest already for a Toy Story 3, Monsters in 3, and a Finding nemo 2. Since finding nemo is more popular I would expect a Finding Neno sequel before the less popular parks. The cars area from Paris additions are new and may not right of the bate get moves. the Cars race way is most likely going to be a DCA addition going of of Rumors spanning beyond screamscape and much longer.
as for the Pirates area I doubt it going to happen in the form of an adventure land take over. From what i had heard From Disney fan sites is that They do want a Pirates area and have been planing one for a few years now. It would be an addition not a take over. There is a large area between Pirates Building and Splash mountain that would be Converted.

Somethings about reworking that back lot area.
Another option would be to Completely remove The Jungle Cruse.With Live animals at AK do you really need to Animatronic ones At MK. That would allow then to Build a pirates area and add one or two none Pirate themed attractions to adventure land.

I have no idea where he is getting the Cars 2 rumor. That is total crap. They are keeping it to one Pixar movie a year - it seems - and as of now we have Wall E in '08, Up in '09 (from the guy who did Monster's Inc but not a sequel), and Toy Story 3 in '10 ('010?  ).

I like mrcegale's plan for the Pirates land. I think that would be the best way to do it. Also, I like the Jungle Cruise with live animals. That is a cool plan to me.

They are not going against them, but we all know they will add something this year. I agree that they own Florida, and that will not change.

They're doing a rehab to the Haunted Mansion and Spaceship Earth, they are opening Toy Story Mania (I don't know if it will be this year), they have already opened Monsters Inc Laugh Floor, and they are putting in additions to Dinoland USA. Yet many of you are saying that Disney "really needs to add something this year."
I think they are doing just fine. Sure Harry Potter may have caught they're attention, but they're on top.
Oh, and don't forget the construction that's going on to Soarin's queue.

i don't think there is gonna be anything big in 07 or even in 08. they no potter isn't gonna make universal the top dog but they know its got a lot of peoples attention. i do expect something big along the lines of pirate land in 09 just so they can say screw you universal. they will never let universal have there moment in the sun they always want all the attention so even though potter wont hurt them one bit they will still try to make people go there instead or atleast get people to go there on the same trip as universal. disney is the yankees of theme parks. they are the evil empire. in a nutshell im saying expect something big in 09 to steal some attention from potter.

I'm glad you like my pirates idea.but it's not mine Just passing on a rumor I read on another site. As for a Live animal Jungle Cruse. It's not going to happen. Disney new Live animals weren't going to work in such a tight space thats why he went to robotics. Not to mention they have animal kingdom.

Are you trying to say they did build MGM to compete. because Disney Started design on MGM long before Universal announced they were going to build a park in Florida.
