I'm still a possibility as well. Guess 2 weekends in a row wouldn't kill me. (unless I get on super roundup again)

Hey all, sorry I haven't been on in a while, but things have been going on... Well, anyway, adriahna, I would love to go, and would if I could, but I would have to ask...yep, you guessed it, my parents. You see, being 13 has its big disadvantages, and they are in control of where I go and when I go there. So, don't plan on it, but I might get lucky!

Now, if I could finish all my Catawissa product before I go......

BTW- If I make it, I gotta ride the flume. I've only been on it once in all my trips to the park.

You know it - it's supposed to be a hot day (high 80's) - perfect for the flume. I've only been on it once myself, and I'm way overdue.

I can see you now, downing that last bottle of birch on the way to Catawissa...

I couldn't believe when I got a new batch of six bottles last weekend, that with the returned bottles, it would cost less than 3 bucks!!!!

I think I am going to go (sorry Larry, but, well, you understand). I have some letterbox research to do, and this is looking to be a good weekend to head up there and do that.

I love that place. Cheap soda and tasty, too - I'm gettin' me a Moxie shirt when we go on Saturday.

It's an old local PA soda that is apparently an acquired taste. They sell it out of the Catawissa bottling company which isn't far from Knoebels.

Knoebels, you should know better! Darkridr is right - it's a soda that's been around since the 1880's, and is made and bottled by the same folks who make Big Ben's Birch Beer (the white stuff sold at Knoebels). I can't stand the taste personally, but I think it's fantastic that they still make the stuff, being the history buff that I am.

I've had Moxie several times, like it in fact. They sell it up at the Reading Pagoda.

BTW, just look for the guy with the Waldameer T-shirt on snapping the Flyers at park opening. I will probably be one of the first in line

I'll be wearing a dark aqua blue Steeplechase t-shirt on - the face is in yellow. Can't miss it.

I figured I would look for the greyhound, or is the dog sitting this trip out?

The pups are staying with my husband's parents - they'll be hopelessly spoiled all weekend long...

So, who is going so far? I'm still not sure if I'll be making it this weekend. Is Primogen still interested?

Yup - I figure we all should check in by Friday, just so Cyclonic and I, along with whoever else, knows who to look for. Hoping for a good turnout!

Adriahna- don't know whether I'm going or not, parents are doing the "we'll see" thing. But when your one day away its hard to "see". Well, I'm probably not, but I might.

No prob, Knoebels - like I said, I'll be wearing my trusty Steeplechase t-shirt - you can't miss it. If you can make it, we'll look forward to seeing you - if not, there are always years to come!

Got a good report on the Flyers from a friend today:

I was just @ Knoebels over the 4th of July weekend and the Flyers
are running excellent.
The newly rebuilt motor is giving insane rides at full tilt and even
turned down a notch "cable magic" still is happens alot for the skilled
Flyers piolet.

Keeck ayass. Rebuilt motor, eh? Might take me a ride or two to get my legs back, but after that, holy moly I'm ready. I'm picturing it now - cutting through the tree branches, listening to that crazy tractor engine and smelling the roasted peanuts... ahhh, Knoebels!

Better make that noon that I will make it to the park. Looks like I have a few tings to get done in the morning before heading out.
