I believe it's pretty cool at first, but you have absolutely NO REASON to ride it again. It's innovative, but the only reason someone could ever have to give it a second try is if he had amnesia.

Houdini- the Great Escape is by far the best version of this kind of ride that I have ever been on. Across from the Rodeo, Houdini is located in Crack Axle Canyon in a very nice building themed to be an opera house. I almost missed this ride because I thought that this rides building was an actual show it looked that good! Just as I was making my way through the queue line, the ride began boarding. There was a preshow on this one in an exceptionally well-themed room. There was good lighting, books, mantles, chandeliers, figures, mirrors, and so much more. You watch a brief little preshow on a flat-screen TV (seems very out of place and I think that a TV themed to a mirror would be much better). Due to the music being played in this room and the chatter of other riders, it was very hard to hear what was being said, but it showed Houdini performing a trick to various people. Then they mention that Houdini will be pulling off a new trick and that we are the audience. Then the lights flicker and you see a cage rattle and a water tank. Then you board the actual ride part. The room is very well themed riding on benches. Along the walls are windows, statues, and various other items. Restrained by a lap bar, the ride begins quickly. During the ride an announcer tries to mention details, but all of the sounds were hard to hear due to the chatter of other riders. The ride itself was excellent as the illusion of going upside down was incredible thanks to seats actually moving back and forth up and down the walls and also being well synchronized with the rotations of the room. Overall, a good attraction to get out of the heat and is a tamer attraction for those who enjoy these haunted swing type rides.

This is in reality a simple swinging ride, but through clever mechanics the illusion is that one is doing complete circles. Very fun ride, especially for those whove been on before because of the looks on the faces of the "newbies". Very large capacity ride, so dont let a long line fool you into thinking itll be a long wait.

It was pretty boring. First, it had too much of a story. That part got really boring. Finally when I sat down, it seemed to exaggerate the forces. It didnt feel like being upsidedown, but it looked like it. It did everything way too slowly. I was bored the first time, so I dont want to ride it again.

Way cool. You really cant tell if youre going upside down or not (you dont). Its a simple illusion, but executed nicely. Dont go on this after eating, it tends to make you dizzy.

The first time is okay but after that it gets boring. Last time the video was broken which was very dissapointing for me. Whats the point of the ride without the video? Anyway, not the greatest.

The ride was alright, and the theming great, but I didnt see a strong connection, I was expecting something better.

The theming kinda fell flat. Didnt make much sense for what happened on the ride (plus it apparently was meant to be some kind of haunting deal; ironic, as Houdini himself spent a lot of type debunking such claims). The fx when the ride starts are ok, but nothing spectacular.
