Its the best thrill ride at Dollywood. Its like a water slide but your in a foam raft. You go on scary curves in a tunnel and feels like your aboat to flip.

This is quite a bit of scary fun. The toboggans seem to just barely escape flying over the sides through some of the sharp turns. I got plenty wet when water splashed into the toboggan, which was welcome on a sweltering August day. The walk up is a hike, yet this could be an asset as far as deterring excess crowds on this ride goes. I dont see how this is a such a unique ride though. It reminds me of any old waterpark slide that uses a raft to get down it. This just happens to be in the theme park section instead of the waterpark side. Nevertheless, this is not to be missed on any warm weather trip to Dollywood.

Best water ride at Dollywood. It is clearly unmarked because I found it (with a park map) on my second day at the park 2 hours before Dollywood closed. Its hidden behind some giftshops in a kids section of the park where it was totally unexpected. The walk was really long to get up to the top, but other than that, it was a really cool water slide. It was the only one of the parks water rides that I actually got soaked on. The ride attendent was great on this, talking on a speaker entertaining everyone waiting in line. Once the ride started, I loved how the slide stayed at ground level for the most part. Being that this is a unique ride, its a must do at Dollywood.

GREAT RIDE! YOU WILL GET WET! The only downsides are that it is one heck of a hike to the top of the ride and that it is open seasonally. A MUST RIDE!

This ride is one of my favorites as far as non roller coasters go. This one suprises you near the end wich makes the trill factor a 10! What I love about this ride is that the only thing that keeps you in are some handle bars on the side. This scared me at first but this is a must ride!

I agree with I_E_G. MS is one (well...two) of a kind. The only con is the walk to the upper station, though the walk is very nice and peaceful. Now you can hear Thunderhead on the other side of the hill as well.

In the 90s when the park was open until 10 at night during the summer, you could take a thrilling ride on the Slidewinder after dark. Now its a lot harder to get a night ride on it since the park mostly closes at 8, but if youre ever in the park after dark and the Slidewinder is open, I suggest you ride it for a totally different expierience.

Mountain Slidewinder is a very unique ride indeed. Its the closest thing Tennessee will get to a bobsled coaster, and definantly the most exciting water ride youll get at Dollywood, or Dollywoods Splash Country for that matter. Youll also get wetter on this ride than the Smoky Mountain Rampage and Daredevil Falls combined, and probably hit banks that are just as trecherous as Thunderheads. The only drawback to the ride is the walk up the hill, but worth it all the way. My only advice though, if you have a child that your kinda iffy about on the hieght, check them on the bar at the bottom of the hill, so you dont walk all the way up, just to get turned away. Because not only is that a wasted walk, how much madder is that kid gonna be, if theyre walking up and down that big hill.

This is a very good water coaster. Its a different ride every time you ride it. Its fun when you have alot of people in the boat it feels like youre going to flip. Its a must ride but it needs an elevator to the top.

Long walk up the hill, but is worth every step. It has all the qualities of a roller coaster but with more. This is a unique ride that you cant find in any other park except Dollywood. While you are waiting in line if you look through the woods you can see Thunderhead and Daredevil Falls, two other great rides a the park. You need to ride this to appreciate! Trust me, you will never forget it!!!!
