It isn't that much of a wait to get to the top, since the elevator holds quite some people, and the views are great! It is nice to cool off up top with the wind that can usually blow up there. It is fun using the telescope thing to look around, too. It was great taking pictures of the park, especially at night! Loved it.

Ok, so its a tower. Whoopty do, right? Well, this thing is pretty tall and gives a gorgeous view of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Since it is so hot in the summer, this is a great way to relax a little and take some pictures. What more do you want? Its a tower.

This is a Six Flags landmark and it is sometimes rare to get on this ride. Due to wind, rain, holiday events, etc.; The Oil Derrick seems to be closed a lot. But if you ever get a chance to ride the elevator to the top,the view is amazing with views of both the Dallas and Fort Worth skyline plus EXCELLENT views of the park, perfect for photos. And dont forget, the Oil Derrick has two levels, explore both for fun!

i love the view. you can see the whole park and you can even see downtown ft.worth and on the other side, down town dallas. i always thought that was so cool. the ride up is fun too. i give it a 10

A true American landmark.

The tower has always been a landmark for Six Flags. It usually the first thing you see when driving to the park. The view from the top is awesome.
