Decent Arrow looper in my opinion. The theming is excellent, especially the rocks with the red water as it gives a great effect. I found that the first drop gave decent air in the back and the following two loops were very smooth and the first one had fairly good Gs as well. After that was a nice tunnel and then the MCBR. Then came another nice tunnel and then two very rough corkscrews.
Ouch. This ride was painful and dull, which is a bad combo.
Demon was the sleeper hit during my visit to Great America. I thought it would be just your standard Arrow drop, loop, corkscrew coaster. In a way it was, but somehow it was made into so much more than that, at least in my mind. You pull out of the station and travel through a tunnel before reaching the lift hill. There are demonic noises heckling you in the tunnel, and then you go up the lift. The lift hill was noticeably very steep, and you peek out from above the trees at the top. This entire ride is pretty much surrounded by trees, so its a really nice setting. The train rounds the curve, goes down the drop, and then through the two vertical loops. This was all pretty familiar, but I love drops and vertical loops, so no complaints here. We then went through another very long tunnel. I dont know why it was so disorienting, as it was completely straight and level track inside the tunnel. I think its that the momentum was carrying us through this very quickly, there was weird lighting, and I was honestly expecting some hills or curves or something. At any rate, it was a very unexpected and unusual addition to this ride. We then exited, rounded another curve, and dropped through a rock that had evil eyes and a mouth cut out of it. Our train traveled right through the mouth, which led to a close encounter with a waterfall and the two corkscrew loops. A rather slow spiral ended the ride. Maybe I am just way too easily entertained, but Im glad I am, as I really liked this one. One last side note--does the coaster from Final Destination 3 remind anyone else of this ride? An Arrow looping coaster with a demon theme? I couldnt help but think of that.
nice theming, the ride is rough but thrilling.
This ride is so boring and painful. Arrow rides are the worst. "X" is their best. My cousin had to go to first aid after this ride. This is here and not "Stealth"?!
This was my first looping coaster. The ride is designed very well so a majority of the track is hidden. Most people who ride it for the first time are surprised about the double corkscrew because its so well hidden in the trees. The first drop is a lot steeper than it looks and it seems as if youre going to run into the trees. Its a little rough, but nowhere near as rough as Grizzly. Go on it later in the day, once the park starts to close down there isnt more than a 5 minute wait.
I enjoy the tunnels, and the ride is nowhere near as unpleasent as some larger arrow coasters.
since 1976 this ride has thrilled guessed to no return and i was no exeptian
i rode at 8 for my first inverting coaster and i could not getr enough!!! ride on th left side for close encounters with rocks!!!
I am giving it a better rating then I would a few years ago. They brought the red water back, thank you for doing that. That gives it a nice touch a character.
this is one of the only arrow coasters that doesnt give me a headache. This was my first arrow looper, and i didnt know how smooth it was untill I rode Viper at Magic Mountian.
