Well I was glad to see that Lakeside had a set of flying scooters, but they werent as good as I had hoped. The ride took pretty long to load and the ride didnt travel all that fast. The tubs had decent movement, but in no way were they snappable. It had a good cycle as well, but the ride took forever to stop.

This is only the second set of flyers that I have been able to ride (the first being at Paramounts Great America), and I must say Im not all that impressed. Im thinking there could be a couple of reasons for this: 1) I havent figured out how to work these things to achieve the maximum joy/dread that so many people rave about; and/or 2) The ones Ive ridden have just been bad examples of flyers. This one was perhaps slightly better than the one at PGA, but only very slightly. I felt I was able to manage a couple semi-decent snaps, but hardly anything to brag about. I actually probably looked pretty silly concentrating so hard on working this while the rest of the cars were filled with little kids just enjoying the swing ride. To add insult to injury, the ride took so long to stop once it actually came to an end. We slowly circled around and around at a snails pace until an employee told us to hurry up and get out. Then another employee yelled at us for exiting the ride while it was still in motion. Go figure.
