This was a great classic. I cant belive how well preserved this ride was. It has great speed and good airtime.

Ow. I guess theres a reason why they tell the lighter person to sit on one side. Even though it hurt for, like, a second, it was a neat little roller coaster and again, strategic placement was key. Its definitely the best woodie at Kennywood and I thought the cars were cool looking.

This is my favorite woodie...it is a long-time classic, it has the perfect setting, it has great lateral gs, and it utilizes the terrain better than any other ride I have come across so far. What I find to be the finest aspect to the T-bolt is that the intensity only increases as you progress through the layout. From the drop out of the station to final dramatic plunge back into the ravine, the Thunderbolt never lets up. The NAD trains truly complete the experience, adding an unobstructed and classic feeling to the ride. This is a woodie among woodies...

Very fun woodie! I rode it for the first time a few years ago, and didnt see the drop into the ravine until it was basically my turn to climb aboard! You immediately drop into the ravine - and I mean immediately, as in within the first few feet of the ride. Then you go up even higher and do the same drop. Quite fun!

I really like this woodie. Its cool how they use the terrain for the coaster. I especially like the helix at the end of the ride and how they use the big hill at the end instead of the beginning of the coaster. It looses a point because you cant ride it if youre a single rider. Its still in my top 20 list for woodies and Ive been on alot of coasters in the U.S. and Canada. The Thunderbolt is a wood sit down roller coaster. It was built by Vettel. It was designed by Andrew Vettel/John Miller in 1924 and reconfigured in 1968. It is 60' tall and 2,887' long. AKAippin'. It is fast, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.

I really like this ride, it never gets old to me. Very fast and very exciting. My favorite part is the first drop after the chainlift. Great view!

Awesome cant even desribe it. Two ravine drops with the last one being the biggest drop out of the whole ride, and lots of speed changes make this a great classic out-and-back terrain woody. Great job for redesigning the old Pippin into possibly one of the best woodies around. Couldve been longer, but the rides definitely the 2nd best ride there only behind the Phantoms Revenge. Ride this at least twice when going to Kennywood. Thunderbolts really electrifying & you wont be disappointed.

The very first time I rode the T-Bolt, it was first thing in the morning, and I was expecting a bit more than I got. It was fun, but it wasnt quite the white knuckle experience I was looking for. But as the day wore on, this ride really heated up and just kept delivering a fantastic ride, especially at night. I was addicted. When I brought my future wife to Kennywood for the first time, I kept her distracted in the cue line and we sat in the back seat; the drop out of the station really caught her by surprise. A great one-of-a-kind ride with four deep drops into the ravine, the longest at the end of the ride. The NAD Flyer trains are retro-cool and its amazing how something so obviously heavy flies through the "spaghetti bowl". This ride is just sheer unbridled FUN.

Great use of the terrain, and those latteral Gs on the turn by the potato patch are awesome. I guess that is why they wont let singles ride, you would go flying into the side of the train. I guess they prefer that you just plow into your riding partner instead.

One of the best wooden coasters I have ever been on! It may not be too fast, but there is just something about it that is so thrilling!
