Wildiest thing in the park since it isnt tamed down like High Roller and Wild Thing. Back seat was the best especially on the spike with the holding brake.
This ride is overrated tremendously! The speed at which it accelerates is so weak!!!!!!!
i dont get why everyone loves this ride. i dont like inverted impulses in general because they have no airtime and the launch is the only scary part.
wow wat an awsum ride. i rode this three times wen i went to valleyfair. i think this is the best ride at valleyfair. the launch was quite awsum reaching 58 mph in three seconds. i dont think the twisted tower was scary. even though i screamed the whole way (just for fun). but wen we kam bak up the non twisted tower bakwards, thats wen u feel sum intense. u cum bak down and up the twisted tower even farther up than before. then wen we go up the non twisted tower a second tim, right before we drop, it holds us there for a second. i think that was to represent the serpants tail. we go up the twisted tower again. and return to the station. so overall it wasnt scary, it was fun. the launch was kinda loud. but this is a ride youll regret if u dont go on it.
Wow this ride is fun! I love the launch and the break on the back spike! I like how it screams when your coming out of the station for the first time. Then you get launched up the first 360degree spiral straight up. Then you start coming down backwords. which is in my opinion the best part. going backwards feels awesome. Then you go up a straight back. Wow...... Its a good ride that every thrill seaker should ride if they get the chance to go to valleyfair!
SV was an overall great ride. I kind of wish they didnt count down right before the launch though. A surprise launch would be really sweet.
Front and back are the best places. In the front you get the most twist. Sitting in the back and coming down off the back spike gave a cool feeling too. I loved watching everyones legs drop when the brake on the back spike kicks in. Not a bad addition to VF.
It gets 1 point off for 0 (zip, none, not a) originality. And two points for its not nearly as good the second time you ride it. Overall, fun like the rest of em
I went the 2nd weekend it had been open (in May 2003), so the line was about 45 minutes then. I LOOOOOOOVE it...Amazing ride! I just wish it could have been in a better location in the park, though, not facing into the parking lot. You know? I looooved the feeling, though. Too cool
Steel Venom comes along in 2003 to Valleyfair as their new coaster. The ride is a valuble edition and has been getting great reviews. The problem with me is that I had went to Cedar Point before and came home to go to my hometown theme park Valleyfair and took one look at Steel Venom and was like " What is all the hype about? " Dont get me wrong Steel Venom is a great ride. But after riding Wicked Twister it didnt really even compare to it. I enjoyed the brake on the reverse hill but liked the double twiser on Wicked Twister better. The speed wasnt as fast but still gave you a great amount of weightlessness. Its by far the best ride at Valleyfair indeed. I wish Valleyfair would have placed the coaster in a different spot because there is absolutely no theming involved with it. And when you go up the towers there is nothing spectacular to even look at except a parking lot to your right and a miniature golf course to your left. The ride is great in every other aspect. The lines werent that bad at all. About 30 minutes or so. The right gets an 8 in my book because of my love for this type of coaster. A welcome edition to Valleyfairs coaster corp.
Ratings based on RCT Rating System:
Excitement: 8
Intensity: 6, only for the brake part
Nausea: 5
Great ride. Would have given it a 9 if it werent for the fact that it jerks you around too much when braking at the top, in my opinion.
