This was a pretty good flume. This one traveled close to the ground and was very long. The final drop was only average though as it wasnt overly tall or steep. I did get pretty wet on this one though.
This flume ride is starting to show its age. When I went there, the wait was an excruciating 30 minutes, which is a long time for a ride of its calibur. The trip around the park gets a little boring. If you dont want to have any scenery or themeing, then why are you still having the boat float around for 5 minutes? Anyways, the drop is alright, it will get you decently wet. Not a terrible ride, but not a must do at Cliffs.
A good log ride. It is a pretty long log ride, with short lines. Like most rides at this park, it goes throughout the park, plus you get a good view of the park from the top of the last drop. Not much themeing, but overall a good ride that also gets you decently wet which helps with the hot New Mexico heat.
A fun ride. I live in Albuquerque so Ive been to Cliffs quite a few times throughout the years. I love water rides and this has always been my favorite ride at the park. I hate roller coasters so I wont even ride the new Rattler or even the old Galaxy! (Been on that a time or two and like I said, I dont like most roller coasters). LOL However I have been to theme parks outside of New Mexico where the water rides are a lot better. Splash Mountain and Jurassic park, for example, are much longer, steeper, and get you much wetter which I think is loads more fun. Then again, Cliffs is nothing compared to places like Disneyland, Universal Studios, or Six Flags. Its good for some cheap thrills though and its all we have in New Mexico, LOL.
One thing this flum has going for is is that is is a Hopkins Flum for ,like Bensons, in from NH. The logs design is made to bring the splash up not forword like the Intamins. I particularly like the fact that most Hopkins flums are built into the ground not suported in the air. this gives you a better fealing of floting down a river in my mind.
A good solid flume ride. The waterways take you through nearly a third of the park and get you wet all along the way (which is a nice surprise since there is no themeing or waterfall surprises built into the ride). The drop is great, theyve actually used a couple tricks to make the fall faster and wetter. I was in a log by myself in the back (which usually spells a dry drop on a typical log flume) and got pretty soaked. If my fiancee had been in the front to help counteract me, we wouldve been drenched.
