I haven't been on this coaster since my sixth grade year, and am now going into my tenth grade year. But of what I remember of it, this roller coaster is just your average coaster. I was freaking out the first time I rode it but I would definitely ride it again, just to have some fun. It could probably go a little faster. The only bad part about it was the triple helix at the beginning (keep in mind that I was a major wimp back then). I couldn't keep my head still and had a major headache afterward, but it wore off by the time the ride was over. I absolutely adore the theme of this ride. This is probably a good ride to get started off on before your big roller coasters. All in all, I give this ride a six out of ten.
I really enjoyed this coaster. The best part is the start.
This roller coaster, along with Son of Beast and the Beast itself, was one of the roller coasters I had to ride twice. I see a lot of people criticizing the roller coaster elements, i.e. the speed of launch, the length, etc. However, just bear in mind that this was made as a family coaster. The theming is great, and that is really the ride'.s main selling point. I especially enjoyed the flame effects midway through the ride. This coaster is great to take a break on, and I'.m really surprised you don'.t see too many things like this around, as it was very charming and enjoyable. I just don'.t reccomend going on it if the line is long, as I don'.t think its worth a huge wait. One last thing that I thought was funny: With Paramount out of the picture, it was renamed ".Backlot Stunt Coaster.". Even so, it still follows the plot and theming of the car chase in the movie ".The Italian Job.". It'.s as if they scrateched out ".The Italian Job". on the sign and wrote ".Backlot". over top of it. I always thought that was funny.
A fun ride, but the length as well as surprising instability (i.e. the train shook and rattled) hinder it. The theming is actually pretty good, and the twisting track is compact and intense. The 2nd launch into the dark is a lot of fun, but it is over literally 15 seconds after it begins. A good ride that could be so much more with a longer layout and more plot developement...Universal, anyone?

Fun family coaster. The launch wasnt that sudden and it was pretty weak, but the upward helix was surprisingly intense. I liked the cop scene and the following bunny hills provided a little air time, but it good have been better because the ride was slow at the top of the helix and the hills. The helicopter scene and finale were nice, but lacking air.
The best part of this ride is the triple helix and the special effects. The wait is so long and it is tempting to walk right out of the line and go ride the Beast or Vortex.
Just like its 2005 sister up in Canada, this one was a yawner. I waited until the end of the day to ride, hoping that I wouldnt waste too much time in line, and we ended up on in less than 20 minutes. It is na ok ride, I still think the upwards helix is pretty neat, but after that, its just slow, tame meandering that is probably more enjoyable to the under 10 crowd. The effects were actually doing ok in "the main scene" so that was a plus, however, I did get a kick out of the fact that the helicopter just kinda stays up. The finale is nothing special and in the end, its just another bump in the coaster count to me.
Pretty sad when you think how mush they spent and how great it COULD have been. Plus we went 9 times last year and it was broke down at least part of the day everytime. Plus usually the cars are dirty and most things fail to work right, hopefully theyll replace this in a few years. Only neat thing is the launch into a climbing helex.
APPEARANCE-8 I thought it looked pretty cool. there were some spots that need touched up, but overall it still looks pretty nice. CAPACITY-7 They were doing a really nice job when I was there moving the line really good and filling up most of the seats. RIDE QUALITY-8 Not a great thrill, but did great for what it was designed for. FUN-8 Good time for all types of ride patrons. RERIDE-8 If the line was too long I would skip it, but when you are at the park with the lamest coaster collection of any park with this amount of coasters you will take a good ride wherever you can get it. OVERALL-39 AVG-7.8 I will go 8 since I was really suprised and enjoyed it quite a lot.
This is a pleasant little family coaster, but it is not that great for thrill seekers. The theming and effects are probably the best part of this attraction. Personally, I wished that they had spent more time and money on the quality of the ride itself.
