Finally, an actual great flat ride to review from Geauga Lake! Texas Twister does certainly buck the trend of lackluster flats at Geauga. The crew was still pretty so-so on this one, but the ride experience was great. I liked the old western buildings that acted as the rides backdrop - definitely a nice touch. The ride program on this was a very good one, with a pretty large number of flips that were all plenty forceful. The hangtime was also cool, and the cycle was good for this type of ride (if anything it probably could have been a little longer and still wouldnt have been overly intense). Overall, Texas Twister was a great Top Spin, with nice flips and plenty of fun! This was one of only 2 flat rides we actually rerode here, so its certainly worthy of a good score. Final Rating - 8.5/10
Very good top spin. The western themed buildings surrounding the ride were a very nice touch and this was always a walk on. This one had a very good program with tons of flips and each flip was just as intense as usual. There also was a really good tease halfway through the ride and decent hangtime as well during the ride.
My first topspin and it is definitely a good ride. Ive ridden some better ones than this, since this ride, but it is a type of ride I always check out, if a park has one.
Well, I finally took the time to ride Texas Twister, and I was overall satisfied with it. Nice program, but I got locked in to the point of where it felt my legs were completely cut off from circulation.
APPEARANCE-9 Very cool wild west buildings around it which also enhance the ride experience. RIDE QUALITY-5 Definately not a relaxing ride experience. Feels smooth I suppose for this type of ride, but I was ready for it to be over. CAPACITY-6 When I rode under the SF label it was pretty slow. I also hate watching people not go to the right seat, etc. on these type of rides. FUN- 7 But the rating is higher because of a good story. My dad rode this even though he doesnt do many flats. As we hit the final roll sequence he starts counting acting all big and bad. As he hits number 5 you can tell he no longer thinks it fun after seven he goes, eight will be too many. Luckily we stopped at seven so I dont know what that would have meant. RERIDE-3 With the versions of these that are now themed I probably wont be back on a basic one. OVERALL-30 AVG-6 Seems like the right score not a terrible ride but just not one of my favorites. If it was a personl rating I would probaly have went 5 but the appearance and my dad really helped.
Times ridden: 1 ~ Ride experience: 7 ~ Thrill factor: 8 ~ Landscaping: 9 ~ Evaluation: Texas Twister is a pleasant ride if youre into spin-n-puke flat rides. I found this version of the top spin to be very painful and dull. The ride has some good programs, but the park seems to run only two or three of them. I prefer to watch the ride in action rather than riding it.
This was my first top spin too.And the program was much better than some of the other top spin rides that I`ve been on.The only bad thing I`d say is it`s a little bit short
This was my first top spin, and so far the best program I have ridden.
