I think Im a bit spoiled by the fine carousel that resides at my home park of Kennywood, because although Geauga Lakes version was good, its not in that same upper echelon. The location was nothing special, but the horses did look good, and the band organ helped produce a nice atmosphere in the parks western area with its relaxing music. The cycle on it was too short though (I know, biiiig surprise here at Geauga). I do really like carousels though, and they always make me smile and feel young again. Geaugas was good overall, and definitely worth a fun spin.

Times ridden: 5+ ~ Ride experience: 7 ~ Fun factor: 8 ~ Landscaping: 6 ~ Evaluation: Being a carusel buff, Im a bit disappointed in Geauga Lakes version. First of all, the location is pretty bad. The ride has no scenery whatsoever to set it apart from the parks other rides. A plus to this carousel is its band organ which fills the western area of the park with fun and happy music.

If you like carousels, be sure to hit this one when youre at Geauga Lake! Im giving it a "9" since its not really anything out of the ordinary, but very nicely done just the same.
