This carousel truely is a hidden gem. Everytime the question of what the best carousel is, Knoebels Grand Carousel always is named. Well guess what? Bushkills carousel somehow is even better. Even after all these years, the ride still is a beauty and it is very well maintained. From a classic band organ to wooden horses to the bell beginning and ending each ride, this carousel has everything. Last but not least is the ring catch. Bushkill still offers riders the challenge of trying to catch the brass ring, which is even more difficult on this one thanks to the outside horses moving. Not only is it extremely fun, but it is run for a very long time as well. If you like carousels, get out to Bushkill and ride this gem.
Very well kept carousel. All of the horses were beautiful and in excellent condition. The ride was complete with an organ and a bell to start the ride, and best of all, the opportunity to catch the brass ring. Its harder than the others since the outside horses move. I got a very long cycle too.
Its just a Carousel and when I visited it was bumpy and smelled
This is the best Carousel out there, even better then Knoebels. It is a beautifly restored machine, in emaculate condition, and run in the traditional way, ringing the bell at the start of the ride and for the brass ring catch. Yes, this is one of the few with the ring catch, and the thing that makes this one better then any other I have riden is that it is actually a challenge to catch the rings since the outside horses move as well. This is an excellent ride in a tiny little old park.
