I know many will disagree, but I think this is one of the best coasters at Cedar Point. The drops on Wildcat hit harder than on most of the nearby steel giants. It feels like youre going to be chucked straight out of the coaster in the drops, especially if you have your arms up. As other reviewers have noted, dropping so close to the pavement below definitely enhances the experience. Although I normally despise helices, the helix finale of Wildcat is really good because you pick up a lot of speed without feeling any sense of gray out that larger coasters sometimes induce. You slam into the brake run with a little bit too much force, but they have an op standing by to warn you that this will happen. Wildcat is also aesthetically interesting because of so much coaster being crammed into a tiny amount of space. The cars are really cool also, as they are designed to look like little cars with headlights and everything. Unfortunately, Cedar Point has painted the Wildcat with some awful purple and yellow scheme that completely clashes with the beautiful cars. I considered subtracting a point for this, but I dont think its the coasters fault. If I ever get rich, Id consider installing one of these old Schwarzkopfs in my back yard. They really are a blast. Cedar Point never remove this ride, or may spiders nest in your spleen.
