Review of Music Express @ Hersheypark

Hersheyparks Music Express was a below-average himalaya and a massive disappointment. Located at the far end of Hersheypark in Midway America, Music Express is next to Lightning Racer. A compact himalaya, this one is a modern one built by Moser Rides. The lights for the Music Express are good, especially at night when they brightly illuminate the area. Also, the music played during the Music Express was better than I expected. Painted in vibrant colors, the Music Express almost always is a walk-on because of a high capacity. Loading takes a long time for the Music Express because the ride operators joke around way too often. Once restrained by a silver lap bar, the ride begins. Unfortunately, this himalaya doesnt go very fast and has an incredibly short ride cycle, only going forwards. My main complaint is a rough spot when the cars travel over one of the hills. I was pushed forwards and yanked back slamming my back into the non-padded cars every lap. Overall, a terribly run himalaya that was a disappointing flat ride at a park with many good flat rides. I recommend the Music Express only to those who really enjoy himalayas. Otherwise, skip it and ride its neighbor, Lightning Racer.
