 Review of Sooperdooperlooper @ Hersheypark

Coming from a fan of Schwarzkopfs, I have to say that I see SooperDooperLooper as an Anton in Distress. The ride does what it was meant to do: invert you, and then have enough track to enable two (and maybe three) train operations. Well, the loop, in standard Schwarzkopf fashio, was intense, and fun in the lapbar-only trains. The ride does slow down a lot from there, sadly, and gets a bit boring. The tunnel was a suprise element, but the ride just lost its luster. I thought the lift hill was kinda cool, where you can see Schwarzkopf stole ideas from his portable models, but the ride in the end was just average. Also, one last con: no airtime, which with the lap bars is what usually makes Schwarzkopfs so good. In the end, its an ok ride but the trains always boost it a point. Its hard to believe that there was only one year between this and Mindbender.
