Review of Georgia Cyclone, The @ Six Flags Over Georgia

I havent ridden this or visited the park since 1998 so I dont know exactly what the ride is like now but when I rode it it was one of the very best woodies Ive ridden. You MUST ride in the back seat for best ride!! It would get a 10 if the ride was completely brakeless but there was still lots of airtime!

Dont count out the original "clone" in Texas, which overall is the best of the three "clones" that Ive been on. On good days, the one in Georgia gives it a good run for its money, but there are also "off" days when the GA Cyclone beats you to death without any regards for your safety, and not in that good "ooh, that was fun" kind of way, rather in the "lets burn the SOB to the ground" kind of way.

I rode the SFNE Cyclone when it first got the Morgan train in 1985. In fact this was during the ACE convention. I was on the first train out in the seat 1-2. It was my #1 ride back then and may still be if it was kept runing that way without taming the ride down.

The Cyclone at SFNE isnt a "Clone" though.

No it isnt! But still was Worthy of the name back in the day. now its just a cheap excuse of a coaster. Most of the true Cyclone clones are not as good as the original. Georgia Cyclone wasnt a bad remake though.
