Review of Disaster Transport @ Cedar Point
3 Rating Posted by: Scott on 2/27/2005 11:53:00 AM
Wow, this is a terrible ride. The theming makes no sense. There were signs everywhere that said, "Welcome to Alaska!" In one room there was a cheesy looking fusion thing. It was extremely loud and annoying. After that we walked up a small set of stairs and crammed into a small car. After that we went up a very bright lifthill. The falshing lights got bothersome quickly though. After that we went down through a series of tight spirals and twists. The theming on this part was bizzare. I even heard a female voice say, "Watch out Biker!" Ummmm.... arent we on a space ship? After that we hit the final brake run, and our trip to hell was over. The only good part about this ride was the cool lighting at the end of the ride (If you smiled it made your teeth turn green.) I think this ride would have been more fun if it wasnt enclosed. I rode la Vibora once. It was a much more enjoyable coaster. I think it was much more fun just because you could see how high up the walls you were going. People in my car were screaming, "Whoa! Were gonna fly off!" However, CP ruined a good ride by enclosing it. The general public doesnt even know its a bobsled coaster. And, 1$ for 3-d glasses that didnt even work!!?

It is my favorite "cult" ride a CP. I love going because it is so bad in parts it is actually good.

Exactly, and it certainly is a fun ride. I always ride it when I go to CP.

Disaster Transport is original, fun, and thrilling. Half the things you heard arent even in the ride, so it was either someone in your car or those voices inside your head. My class and I broke the world record for most rides on it and scared the entire car by screaming "We gonna die yall!" etc. Sorry that you cant appreciate it, but very few people agree with you in that it was better before being themed. If you had any knowledge about this ride, you know that the Alaska themeing has been removed because people like you didnt spend time following the story line... They spent time complaining. Sound familiar? Few people know the storyline, probably because it is difficult to learn if you dont look on the internet first or if you are learning it in the line while someone is behind you complaining about "A loud an annoying cheesy looking fusion thing."

Come on dude. Was this really worth a bad. I stated my reasons. Just because I gave a ride that you like a bad rating, isnt worth a bad. And, gee I dont spend hours doing research on poorly put together theming. How would you like it if I gave you a bad because I dont agree with your rating. What the hell? You gave it a 5 too! In your review you said that you didnt understand the theming.
Hypocrite. And the alaska theming was there when I went last fall. Get your facts straight. Just because I gave a ride at your home park a bad rating doesnt mean you should get pissed off. There were a heck of alot of 2s. Why dont you go complain about them too.

The Alaska thing was for something they did a couple of years ago for themeign or something I rode it and they said that it would take you to alaska and when you got off they would say "Welcome to Alaska" and there were signs that had stuff about Alaska on them. And it isnt a bobsled coaster anymore, when it was Avalanches run it was a bobsled coaster, now as Disaster Transport it runs on tracks. I know the ride isnt that great but it isnt terrible either. well, at least that is what i think.

Its still a bobsled coaster. Ride it and have a look at the track in front of you. And sorry about the bad, I was in a bad mood just because of the way you presented the information. Sorry!
