Review of Haunted Mansion, The @ Magic Kingdom

Even though this is a haunted house, it does not contain any startling moments. However, it does house some of the best special efx this side of the Tower of Terror. Even though HM is years and years old, you will rarely see a ride with better efx. It has great pre-ride theming and has so many different things going on at once, youll surely have to ride it multiple times to take everything in. If you havent checked it out yet, youre missing out. A Disney Masterpiece. (Hint:A hidden Mickey is located on the big dinner table. Can you find it?)

Probably the best darkride ever created.

Yup, but not if you count Spidy...

I think HM will be around a lot longer than Spidy. It has a good general theme. It has stood up as a favorite for over 25 years. I remember when BTTF was the rave. Now it gets dissed. I see Spidy heading in the same direction as the technology changes. Everyone likes a good Haunted House.

Well...I like BTTF much more than HH. I dont change opinions based on advertising. BTTF is still the second best simulator on the market hands down. To diss it is a joke...one of the best attractions in all of Florida. Spidy is not heading anywhere down. Just as HH, it is a technological masterpiece which will stand the test of time. Something like Star Tours I would have to say is a good example of the lack of effort. Like you said, good theming, but the attraction is only alright...

I dont count spidey as a darkride. Its a 3-D ride. If it doesnt deal with the darker side of the track I dont think it has the right to be called a dark ride.
