This ride is very unique in it's own way. First of all, you sit on the floor of the car and the person behind you has their legs somewhat around your waist, and the car is enclosed. Also there's no seat belts or anything which made it better (although you do bump your head against the sides a few times). Anyway, it's a pretty fast pacing coaster with a tad of airtime. You're on your side most of the time which was pretty cool.

Very surprising little coaster that was far better than I had anticipated. The cars were very unique and best of all, there were no restraints. The mountain that the ride works around looks amazing and the drops were small and the ride wasnt the fastest, but there were a few small air time hills and some decent turns as well.

This is a relatively tame ride with nothing terribly memorable in terms of the ride quality. However, the scenery makes this coaster a worthwhile ride.

Man, this ones fun. I rode it as a kid at my own birthday parties at Enchanted Forest. When visiting Oregon again we stopped by and checked it out. Its nice to see EF still in good shape -- it was built ages ago and hasnt changed much, except for the admission price increase to a big $8.95. There are no Looney Tunes characters around and no over-priced `souvenir $6 Pepsis. But regardless of the nostalgia factor, Ice Mountain is a pretty neat ride. The train is composed of three tiny cars, with clear plastic lids. I was a bit put off by the lids, until we went up the lift and started the ride down. Sweet! The ride goes down the side of a mountain -- and its a real mountain, not one built on a parking lot. There is a small fiberglass mountain that the ride starts in, but then it leaves that and goes right through EFs forest: between moss-covered fallen trees, over stumps, under branches that would knock your head off if you could stick it out. Thered be a definite body count without those lids. Its really tight and dodgy, and has some pretty steeply banked parts. And the landscaping of the natural Oregon forest cant be beat. (I would rename it from Ice Mountain to Forest Mountain though -- the real trees are far cooler than the fake ice.)

I was not sure what to expect from this coaster (or this theme park in general), but I must admit I had a really great time. Living in Southern California and being spoiled by all of the latest and greatest scream machines, I actually appreciate the charm of a technologically inferior, barely-known coaster. The trains on the Ice Mountain bobsleds consisted of three cars, each one enclosed! Two people could fit in each car, one in front of the other, and there were no restraints! You go up a lift hill and enter the decently-themed ice mountain, which reminded me a lot of the Matterhorn, but you soon exit and do most of the ride outside, riding along track that I can best describe as warped. It is just completely freeform and looks so old that I was amazed the trains could actually stay on the track. There were some gnarly turns and funny little hops, and we got tossed about in our diminutive car cages every which way imaginable. Dont dismiss this crazy uncle of the coaster family too quickly. I really did have a blast!

This ride is nothing special! It is more of a poor mans Matterhorn. It has some cool elements and is a good overall kiddie coaster!
