This was a nicely themed ride when I visited the park. It is a giant 250 foot parachute jump made by Intamin. The trip up is fast then you parachute down slowly. The views from the top are great. The name needs to shortened. It is fun, rerideable, has a small capacity, and short ride duration.
This one gets a 9. My imaginary hat goes off to Great Adventure for preserving this rare, classic ride experience. I actually find this ride to be mildly scary because you are not excessively restrained, which gives you a lot of "vertical exposure". Yes, its not the most thrilling thing in the world, but that is beside the point. Great Adventure has more than enough thrills as it is. I hope they never tear this thing down.
The views and the trip down are fun, but I liked Stuntmans Freefall much better. How old is this ride? It seems kinda old. Its also cool looking next to Great American Scream Machine. Fun, but not the best.
I love this ride! Excellant view. I hope its there for another 50 years.
It is okay. I mean, the way up feels like it takes FOREVER. Then you sit at the top for a couple seconds, then SLOWLY go down, Its good i guess, if you really want to go on something quite boring and sit in line for a long time.
This ride is closed more than open as it gets shut down with a mild breeze. Its height provides a great panoramic view and the ride up is kinda thrilling but the drop down is slow and boring. Having your feet swaying freely is kinda fun. It doesnt accomodate enough people at one time and in my opinion, this ride is a general waste of space.
Its a good Parachute drop ride, but has the paint chipping, but it has been running often now which is great, so i need to boost it points for coming back from the dead.
I am not a fan of this ride. Its not very thrilling and I think its kind of ugly. IMO, they should take it out and put in a massive drop tower. Stuntmans Freefall doesnt quite do it for me.
I was lucky enough to be able to ride this - usu. its closed. I found the lift up a little more invigorating than the drop - I was probably hoping for a little more freefall, ala Coney Island parachute jump. In all, though, a neat experience. If you see it running, dont pass it up.
A surprise. A great view at the top at a great sensation of falling that i didnt expect at all.
