went to these two great parks in new england for the first time ever. what i found were my new number one woodie (boulder dash) and new number one steel (SRoS).

SFNE

first up, superman of course! this is one hell of a ride and my new favorite (sorry MF). this is an airtime monster with a perfect flawless layout. i love those tunnels! such an amazing ride. i cant speak enough praise of this ride. best seat is the back of course (although the front does have its moments too)

next was poison ivy, good for the coaster count. then mind eraser- its an SLC, what can i say (i actually dont mind them). then we hit BDK. this is a very nice floorless and it reminds me of talon alot because of its compactness. i found it to be sort of forceless but it does pack alot in a short ride and just has a very nice general layout. i do like the bigger inversions though and the train looked like a midget with just 7 rows.

next we hit the woodies and flashback. cyclone sucked and could have been alot better but thunderbolt was a pleasant surprise. a very nice classic woodie that sort of reminded me of swamp fox.

we hit up HH. SFI did an awesome job with this park. the tropical theme is done perfectly. lines were extremely long so the only slide we did was tornado (i think thats what its called. its the one with the giant funnel). this slide was alot of fun... very fast!

got in some re-rides for the rest of the day but now a small rant. we went to lunch at nickys pizza- damn they are tight with a buck... they wanted 25 cents for a cup of ice! how freaking rediculous is that! needless to say i made a scene (i was also kind of bored) and now i dont think we will be welcomed back. but its cool, pizza sucked anyway

overall, SFNE is my favorite SFI park. very clean and very presentable.

LC

second day on the NECT (new england coaster trip) was to lake compounce. another great park. its lacking on the rides but boulder dash more than makes up for it. this is my new favorite woodie too. great airtime, laterals and setting. my favorite seat is the front, right side.

their other woodie was a nice surprise too. didnt really think much of it (i guess it was overshadowed by BD) but this is a very nice ride.

we did basically every ride in the park, my favorite ride after boulder dash is the skyride. this isnt just a chairlift. very thrilling actually as it gets very steep and very high. nice view too (although i couldnt see much because of fog).

i had some fried oreos at the lake too. these are probably my new favorite park food. overall, its a nice park and a fun time. not just g forces but an all around good time

we continued the trip to boston to see the city (never been actually) and to see BU. its probably my favorite school out of those i have seen so hopefully ill be going there next year

Glad to hear you had a great time up here in New England. I wish you could have ridden Cyclone three years ago in it's original state, I think you'd have loved it as much as Boulder Dash, but that's impossible now of course. S:ROS just keeps getting better and better, I swear it's giving more air now than in it's first year. I really think that in years to come it's going to be considered a classic like the Coney Island Cyclone, a coaster that despite it's age still should be ridden by all coaster enthusiasts. Same thing just might happen with Boulder Dash, it's just unrelenting fun!

minimal. for the most part i waited only one, two trains tops, for a seat on boulder dash (any seat too) and everything else was a walk on. cant say the same for SFNE though
