good news, it is open, admission is cheap, and you can do the park in half a day. I'm not a expert on the park but here is the strategy a took in my four hours at the park. If you make it a say suggest you head left hit Phantom first for a couple of rides and the other rides in that area Pitt Fall (Tower), Thunderbolt, Kangaroo (I missed this one), Noah's Ark (nice old walkthrough with some funhouse effects), Exterminator (indoor wild mouse, that I'm still upset that I missed out). On other side of park Jackrabbit and Racer

Make sure you tag along with someone, since single riders can't ride some of the coasters, like Thunderbolt, or at least it was like that on my visit to the park a few years ago.

Are you serious? They wouldn't let you ride since you were alone? Did they give you a reason why?

It's not a successful ride on the Flying Scooters unless you've got bruises to tell the story for you.

there have signs there saying no single riders. I went alone to Kennywood in 2001 and I rode Thuderbolt a couple of times. For the life of me, I can't remember if I rode with a stranger or if they let me break the rules, but I think they let me ride alone.

Nope, I never go to a park alone, it's not fun going by yourself. They have signs posted at the enterance of the rides to inform single riders.

The only coaster singles can't ride on is Thunderbolt, but you can wait for another single to come along.

This actually came to my advantage a few years back. I had just gotten off, and some folks with a hadicapt child wanted to ride. They had to split up and one could ride while the other stayed with the child. I ended up getting three rides in a row as I was the only single rider there and the ops asked if I would ride with them.
