A few days ago, I was tree viewing all of Japan's themeparks on RCDB, so I could pinpoint them of Google earth.

Naturally, lots of obscure, Meshio and Togo, steel monsters were discovered. I came across several Ultra Twisters, all of which are the same; Or so I thoguht.

I came across Rusutsu Resort, a themepark-related resort high in the mountains of Hokkaido, Japan. They happened to have an Togo Ultra Twister, but it was drastically different from all of the others. Probably the biggest difference between this model, and all of the other models, is that the entire ride goes forward, instead of forward/backwards. This is accompleshed by a coplete dive loop in place of the transfer track. I believe this was the last Ultra Twister model ever built, and was probably what would be concidered as a 2nd generation to the original.

Among the dive loop, were other, more suttle, variences is this rides design.

I found this quite interesting, so I thought I would share it with you.

I have seen this before, but what I want to know is was that the orignal and all the other ones are a modified verson, or it is just a varient of all the other ones.

Seeing as how the originals opened as early as 1985 (maybe earlier) and this one opened in 1994, I'd say this is the modified version.

An other modification made to this design, is that there is no small dip before the last heartline roll. Most, if not all, of the other models drop slightly beforehand.
