who here remove theirs shoes on floorless rides, even when they are not sandals?

I was wondering because i see a change in coaster customs lately. At kigs dom, iwas asked to remove mine becuase they were really loose but not sandals. Iam wondering why they are getting stricter on that

It's common sense - they are becoming stricter because a flying shoe can injure someone

Sense is not so common anymore.

^ Well put.

Anyways, I see people gripe and moan for attendents to go out and get a shoe that they lost. Usually it's the people that the attendents told to take their shoes off in the first place.

They're probably getting stricter, because they have to shut the ride down to get a shoe, or at least that's what they had to do with Kraken.

Maybe they should teach the people with untied shoes the bunny ears trick it educates and is fun.

Or just shoot the people that lose their shoes.

Sounds like a darned sensible solution to me. Any more votes for this method?

nah, i think a more "saudi" eye-for-eye type solution is better - offending individuals must be tossed from the coaster towards his/her shoe on the ground.

I vote yes. There shouldn't be any warning shots either, they were given that chance by being told to take their shoes off.

At Busch Gardens over the summer some teenage girl dropper her sandle in between the clamps on the track in the station on the Loch Ness Monster. She caused a 5 minute delay.

I always take mine off, on Floorless, Inverts, Drop Towers, Screamin' Swings. Anything where you can get the air to flow though your toes, which cools off your feet on a hot day of waiting inline and just feels cool. Try Nitro, that was great.

I guess it all depends on the type of coaster. I always wear shoes, so I never take em off. But I always make sure there tied tight before I go on.

Anyone going on a floorless and wearing sandals should def. take em off.
